Hi all, as some of you may already know I am particularly interested to find how well the new X1000 performs when it comes to screen capturing. As interesting as the videos are on YouTube concerning AmigaOS (excluding playing classic games as thats fine, different) in its latest reincarnation they all share the same thing in common - a camera pointed at a screen.
Unless you pay real attention to this (e.g. Danwood and hostcave are two great examples of good video uploaders) you can never makes the OS look at its best; blurry images, dark images, music not loud enough and this strange behaviour of typing into what you want to say into notepad or worst still using AmigaSay (!) - if you have something to say stick some annotations over the top.
All this small things might seem petty to some, but I'd like to see the bar raise a little.
Atm I am eagerly awaiting Gallium/Mesa drivers and a screen capture application to go with it (however primitive from day one), but the X1000 is out there now with double the cpu speed of the SAM 460 which crawls at screen capturing anything above 1024x768.
So any X1000 users out there care to do some screen capturing and upload the results to YouTube for all to see? The video doesn't have to be very long at this stage, but something smple as seeing it opening OWB whilst recording would be a great start.
Thanks
