« on: January 19, 2012, 10:42:03 AM »
I installed my Blizz 1260 and A1200 is booting

But in Sysinfo it gets stuck calculating Mflops and then crashes to a Software Faliure / Guru

Have you got the correct 68040 and 68060 libraries installed? Some functions are missing from these processors and so software which needs those functions will crash if the libraries aren't present.

I downloaded 68060=19101999.lha from a1k.org and copied all the LIBS into System:Libs

I don't know the correct ones myself, but there are a few different 68060.library files for different manufacturers of accelerator. Make sure the ones you got are definitely for phase 5 / DCE cards... Also, there should also be a dummy 68040.library which replaces the existing 68040.library. If you don't have that in place you're also asking for trouble.

Did you read all the docs included with the 68060.library? It might have come with a file called something like 68040-dummy.library which needs renaming, not simply copying to LIBS:...

Yes they were correct.. My mistake was copying 68040 dummy to libs and not renaming it to 68040.library. Thanks :)

One question... Is 65.66 MIPS and 26.35 Mflops in SysSpeed normal / good ?

My memory's not all that bad so :) It's about 12 years since I installed my Blizzard 1260. I'm afraid I've no idea about the benchmarks. They sound familiar, but I dunno. I'm sure there are plenty of stats around the web though!

65.66 mips sounds pretty gd to me, if you send me the blizzard 1260 i can check in my 1200 and see if i get the same :roflmao:

I always tend to benchmark against the a3000, my blizzard 1220 8mb fpu @ 33mhz is 2% faster than a3000 (1.02)

and my aca1230 is about 28% faster than a3000 (1.28)

How does your 1260 compare to a 4000?
And what is your compatability with whdload transpiring to be?

LOL

In Sysinfo its muchh faster than an A4000/040. I'm at work now but i'll check later and post results.

Whdload so far seems as compatible as a blizzard 1230 :)
