TFX - Full Game
« on: January 10, 2004, 12:51:08 PM »
Hello,

I was doing some random web searching when i discovered that a game called TFX got given away on one of the CUCDs - full game. I have not heard of TFX before, but after looking at reviews, it seems worth owning (especially when it's free :-) ). I have searched on the internet, but no luck. Could someone please provide a link to where i could download it, or upload it themselves - I would guess that this is legal, as it was given away for free.

Regards,

Just because the magazine put it on a coverdisk doesn't make it legal, I'm afraid. They could have paid for the priveledge.

i seem to remember it being on DarkDownloadz

it's a properly fun game. was it on the amiga?

well if you're running it on the pc, be aware, it only works in 98, not NT (xp as well) or ME :(

for comp, a cheat  :-D :

when pressing enter once you have filled in your name, press ctrl+alt+shift as well to unlock all the modes  ;-)

TFX is not free , cu amiga paid for this and released it , they did this because of an Bad review they made of it 5 years before...

they reviewed the game out of an early preview and stood up and said it was finished for several years until people stopped asking and then all out of a sudden it was bundled on the magazine cd, sadly the game is rather "heavy" and its not really finished either if u ask me, you can clearly see where it was stopped developed in 94 and where it was continued on later on..

but i played it for several weeks and i enjoyed it but i am afraid i expected far too much..

pps: i doubt its even playable on anything below 060.

cheers
Whats up with all the hate!

Is it hardware banging?
Does it run on UAE?
It should be really flying on a Pegasos :-)

it was designed for 68k,  not sure if it will run on newer amigas or a peg

TFX uses AGA and hardware banging. It won't work on Pegasos or AmigaONE, except via UAE.

Can anyone remember which CD/issue it was on? I am positive I have the cover CD but I can't seem to find any CD where TFX is mentioned on (on the cover that is).

You may be disappointed, the game runs a bit slow
and flaky, eben on the "060".

If you're looking for realistic flight simulation
on the amiga, try Jet Pilot...:) It's more difficult
to play, but far more rewarding.
