Amiga Demos on DVD
« on: January 15, 2012, 04:17:00 AM »
Once in a while I find some nice stuff on Youtube and this is one of them: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NRdXLFKVK3A
Savage (Italo disco music), nice pics ans Amiga Demos all in one video. I like his style.
This also gave me idea to make a nice Amiga Demo DVD. I know that was already done before, but I want to do it anyway.
I may need some suggestions of what can I include in the DVD (Youtube links are welcome), I need artistic type of Demos playable on A1200 030 50MHz NTSC machine, cause I want to capture it using real Amiga.

Thanks

Well, you can go here and search. You can specify AGA, but there is no way to specify CPU let alone FPU. At least you can specify rating to weed out the junk. You'll just have to read in the comments -a lot of the times it will say. I found it difficult when I had an 030/40mhz and I had a proper 68882 FPU and PAL.

if you have a socket for an FPU, maybe you should see if you can get one. I had a 40mhz one around here I was not using but I misplaced it. I paid $30 for it on ebay.

Unfortunately I think the majority of AGA demos were designed for 060.

Most would still run on my 030 but were a little slow. You have an extra 10mhz which can't hurt.

If your Amiga is not capable you could always capture straight from UAE.

My DV converter died and my amiga is slow, so for videos I'll use youtube then convert to DVD.
