A500 Bad sound

The sound on one of my A500s is terrible. Most games i load have muddled sound or wrong instruments playing.
I don't know if it has anything to do with it but the floppy drive is not all that good as in it sometimes refuses to recognize disks or else gives disk errors.

Well, the Paula, which controls the audio, is also in charge of the floppy drive. So it is possible the problems are connected. My first suspicion with the floppy would be dirty / misaligned heads & rails though.

I tried another floppy drive and same results. But i noticed some traces look damaged. Don't know how as there is no battery on this old REV 5 A500.
I had paid 2 Euros for this Amiga from a carboot sale. It is very very dirty, filthy, dusty and the RF shield is all rusty and the floppy drive has corrosion (not rust). It must have been stored in a very damp place.

Clean it!
Alcohol is a tip. It's used in the electronics industry.
But I'm sure others can give better hints.

Yeah, I would clean all the connections, reseat chips, etc. Have you checked the power supply rails with a meter while it is running?

One should clean the circuit board as well because dirt may be conductive.
