It all depends on hardware.

Magic is good if you can find the keyfile

Frodo V4 is the most compatible but not very good if you don't have don't have hardware

Personally I use Frodo V2

I find it runs at a good speed on an A1200 with 060 and 64mb.
I have to run some patches though such as Fblit, Blazewcp and Speedychip

Ok I have 2 1200s

1 a1200 aca1230 @ 28mhz + 64mb ram

2 a1200 blizzard 1220 fpu 33mhz 8mb ram

Both os 3.9

Maybe my set up cannot cut it for frodo?

So I am better with magic64? Where do I download + buy the keyfile?

Not sure but it seems to be available on Aminet:

http://aminet.net/search?query=Magic64

Keyfile may be a pain to find since the original developer has disappeared from the scene and his web site is down (ac-copy.com) but here is his contact info:

Ok thanks guys 4 ur advice.

If I can get a keyfile where do I put it once I've installed magic64? Somewhere in the magic64 drawer or in my wb devs/libs drawer?

Magic64 would be your best option. Impressievly fast for a c64 emulator. Just dont expect too much from it. C64 emulation is quite heavy vs. most other 8bit machine. On the 50mhz blizz mkiv '030 I had some years ago I had to set it to every 3rd frame, and it still rarely hit 100% speed (about 80% on average).
Even my 40mhz '040 I can only hit 100% with sound disabled on all but a few things.
Near as I can tell this is where I write something under the guise of being innocuous, but really its a pot shot at another persons/peoples choice of Amiga based systems. Unfortunately only I cant see how transparent and petty it makes me look.

Does it go 100% on an 060? I guess there is only one way to find out.

load "*",8,1  if i remember right.
