AmiFTP Install Problems
« on: January 07, 2012, 11:41:41 AM »
Hi,

Im trying to install AmiFTP as i have just got my Easynet pcmcia up and running and want to be able to copy files via TCP from my PC.  I've given up with Easynet 'connect to' and Windows 7, it just wont work.

I have downloaded AmiFTP from Aminet and unpaked the .lha file ok.

The problem is when I run the AmiFTP Install file I get 'unable to compile script.  ERROR: invalid parameter for statement on line 727'.

Am i doing something wrong or is the file corrupt??  Can someone possibly advise or maybe download the file from Aminet and try the install please??

Thanks in advance guys.

Nlead
Thanks,
Nick

We can confirm that EasyNet file sharing will work with Windows 7

Here are the settings I use in:

> Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center > Advanced sharing settings

o Turn on file and printer sharing
o Turn on sharing so anyone with network access can read and write files in the Public folders
o Enable file sharing for devices that use 40- or 56-bit encryption
o Turn off password protected sharing

I use a regular IPv4 address (static) for ease of connection and have a folder which is called Shared which the Amiga connects to with a guest account from EasyNet
