ClassicWB and PCMCIA CF problem
« on: January 03, 2012, 07:05:28 PM »
okay, so I've gotten my amiga back in working condition, and while I was at it, I decided to ditch 3.9 and go with CLassic WB which is wicked awesome. Wish I had done this a long time ago.

That being said.. I am running into two problems, the first of which is:

I can't seem to get my PCMCIA card to read the compact flash card. I installed the ADAPCMCFL software I got from amigakit (which is where I got the adapter and CF card) but the CF card doesn't show up at all.

Any suggestions or advice?

Thanks in advance!
I can't wait to be back and rocking the amiga again but I do need to be able to transfer files to it :)

edit: well hm, if I type "mount cf0" in shell it shows up. What would I need to do to make it do it at boot?

I'm using a solution from aminet and it works great. It's even hot swapable.
You need the fat filesystem and cf drivers from aminet.
http://aminet.net/package/driver/media/cfd
http://aminet.net/package/disk/misc/fat95

Works great.

I dont have the amigakit version, but usually you put the cf0 icon in devs/dosdrivers folder.

Appreciate the heads up. I got it all working, except it doesn't mount automatically for some reason. If i mount it via shell, then it works, and is even hot swappable as well.
