I'd have to check in my 30 odd boxes of magazines I have downstairs.

I have the permission to scan and distribute the "Amiga Magazin". It was  well known in Germany. Perhaps other here get permissions for "English" magazines too. It is a great source for tips. courses ...

I came across some of my old Amiga World mags sometime ago and spent a good 45 minutes to an hour reading through them. I miss getting them in the mail and sitting down in front of my Amiga 500 and reading it and dreaming of havig more money to buy all the goodies.

There was nothing like waiting for all those great Amiga magazines and drooling over the dozens of pages of paid advertising for all those Amiga peripherals that I couldn't quite afford at the time (but ended up getting most of them second hand later).

I would read those magazines over and over again within the first few weeks of getting them.  It was a very sad day when they stopped publishing many of my favorite Amiga magazines.  I still enjoy reading them now (specially since my alzhiemer's is kicking in, it makes them like new reading again) and I am still trying to complete my collection of many different Amiga and Video Toaster/Flyer related magazines, so if anyone has magazines they want to sell (or give away), please contact me.

I don't need a lot more magazines to complete my collection, as I probably have close to 1,000 magazines already, but you might have some that I am missing.  It is good to see that many people are preserving magazines online, so that valuable info is not lost completely over time.  I hope that is is always being done with proper permission of the publishers.

You can actually download (or even upload) some of the old mags from the online Internet Archive. This would help to preserve them for eternity. > http://www.archive.org/details/computermagazines
 
I don't read them anymore (like ACE, The One etc) because I no longer have them now, but certainly would love to....I miss my old mags.

As I clean my basement the other day, I found my box full of my old Amiga Magazine(Amazing Computing, Amiga World and some RUN). It's funny but I kind of stop what I'm doing bend down and read them again. That would take me an hour or two before I snap out of it and remember I need to attend to something else. It still gives me that smile once in awhile at the same time sadness and bitterness about their amiga-ads that once written there or the publication it used to circulate before. . . I used to read them endlessly, but, of course it's old it dies down. Not the same feeling as a new one would give. Anyone here still reads old mags(that is if you haven't sold them yet)?

Just yesterday I was looking for the title to my car and got distracted with an Amiga World 1994( RoboCop on the cover) I put it aside and later I read the article " WarpEngine Vs. G-Force 040" ... ha even came across a few things I circled in pen on few adverts of things I wanted.  .

I acquired about 250 issues of various amiga magazines earlier this year, and its probably my favorite amiga thing Ive gotten ahold of for quite some time. As mentioned already there's just so much good information in them that's not online as yet, and having the physical media is so much better than pdf scans (of which I have roughly 500 of as well).

Not sure "rare" is the right word, but there's stuff amongst what I got that Id not seen or heard of before. Besides the usual suspects (CU Amiga, Amiga Format, AmigaShopper (great mag by the way, Id never read it back in the Amiga's heyday), AUI, Amiga Computing, The One, ACAR, etc.) there was also stuff like AmigaDownUnder, OZ Amiga, 24Bit and Pieces, Amiga Workbench, and some others. Also some non amiga specific stuff and some c64 mags (with some great tutorials and technical docs too).

While Im still wrapped with my find, it has caused a few problems.
1. A bit of a swap card like compulsion has developed and I have a strong need to complete the sets of magazines I dont have every issue of.
2. The sheer wealth of information contained within is distracting me from actually doing anything with that information (that is to say Im spending way too much time reading, and not much doing)

AMR only seems to have scans of the odd page here and there, I'd like full issues of them all if possible as my old mags are in boxes at my folks place mainly.

I bought some DVDs with all of CU Amiga and Amiga Computing on in PDF which are great.  Wondering if there are Amiga Format issues in full anywhere for download?

I guess I have what you would call a pretty large collection of Amiga magazines plus all the cover disks. It would take me an eternity to scan them all and maybe one day I'll gift them all to someone prepared to carry out the task... Given that loads are already on the web it would be a case of just filling in the blanks... Not sure this set of mags has been scanned yet and I have all the copies plus spares...

I all honesty I just like reading the magazines as was intended though I do appreciate that this both could damage the publication in time and restrict obviously the content to an audience of one. Dunno... I still find stuff in them that I find very interesting and useful and I wouldn't want to be without all my magazines.
