3000T is locked, help!
« on: December 04, 2011, 07:31:15 PM »
Hello'all,

My recently acquired 3000T had the key in "locked" position and the previous owner has not helped me - he did not supply the keys with the machine. I've tried all the different keys I could find, searched for replacement locks, etc. It is quite hard to find good info on the 3000T!

So, my question is if there is anybody that is willing to spare a key or has unused keys that will fit the box? I dislike changing the lock or soldering wires etc.

As an alternative... does anybody know which wires to connect together to put the lock in "unlocked" position? There are 5 wires on the back of the lock, 3 grey and 2 orange. I have no clue on how a lock likes this works internally. These wires come together with the LED's and go to the connector CN302 on the board. I am unable to find the specification of this...

Thanks in advance! Would be nice to get this beauty up and running...

For what it's worth, I' ve got a lock here, without a key. The lock is in postition "0" (cut-out of the centre cilinder opposes cut-out of outer ring at mark "0".

At the soldering side there are 4 pins, numbered 1 4 2 3. In the position my lock is in pins 1 and 4 are closed (connected), 2 and 3 are open (not connected).

I don't know if this makes any sense, or if it is of any help, but this is all I know. And I'll be happy to give you this lock.

I would consider replacing the existing lock with a new one (if it fits).  That would be the long-term solution.
