Boot/Startup Editing
« on: January 08, 2004, 08:30:32 AM »
I have an Amiga 4000 that was previously used for video production.  There was something attached to the computer called "Photovision" which is no longer there.  When I boot I get a message that pops up regarding the missing Photovision and ceases the booting process.

How does one edit or change the boot/startup sequence to remove references to such devices?

I know this is a stupid question but I am new to this and have no clue.

use ED or ced to remove/add stuff to startup lines.

files u want to check are placed in S:  and are called "startup-sequence" and "user-startup".

paste the text here and we can help you if u have no idea what to remove..

cheers

Thanks Lempkee.  I got it.  I found "run photovision: in the user-startup.  Imagine that.
