Look what followed me home & what do I have ??

Could not resist this local deal on a non working, or at least unknown working, A4000T and its ugly big sister, an A4000 Tower system with some extra slots so you can plug in oodles of Amiga boards into it.  The ugly sister supposed to work, the A4000T I was told has a software/hard drive issue.  I guess in time we will see.

Worse comes to worse, I have one bad ass A4000T case.

I take it this is the Escom based A4000T with a production date of 1997?

Came with the books and keyboard also.  8-)

Anyway,  if someone knows about this big ugly sister and what I have, that would be sweet.  It says on front Video Toaster and peeking in one of the umteen slots on back I see A4000 on a board so my guess some special tower system made from a A4000 desktop logic board?  I was told it is a 68040 in it.

The A4000T supposed to have a 68060.

Yea its definitely an AT A4000.  Think it must have that ghastly 'Turbo' buton.

Still looks lovely though I think.

Like the A4000T next to it, the large case does have a turbo led on the top right along with a reset and turbo button inside the swing open door.

So is this just some special huge roller case made for the A4000 with an extender board so you can add more cards than a normal A4000D?

the one on the left is an official A4000T with IDE and SCSI, and riser cards etc.  The one on the right i suspect is just an ordinary A4000 stuffed into a terribly ugly and oversized case.  Horrid.
