Hi i have just fitted a cf card as my hard drive and installed 3.1 on my Amiga 1200,and all is well but i cant get   IDE-Fix to install ,it gets half way through and when it tries to start   IDE-Fix it freezes up ,am i doing some thing wrong ,as i have installed it many times on a normal Hard drive and had no problems ,any help please ,best wishes Brian.

Hiya,

It's because your CF is marked as removable and the IDE-Fix software doesn't like it (there's a long thread over on EAB about it).

Do you actually need both channels?   If the answer is no, then don't bother installing the software, I've got more speed from using the patched scsi.device with PFS.
