Old ram and harddrives for free if anyone wants them
« on: November 06, 2011, 12:53:59 AM »
Ive been doing some cleaning and am thinking about finally getting rid of a bunch of old stuff thats doing nothing but gathering dust. There's nothing particularly interesting or valuable amongst it, just a shedload of old 4/8/16 meg 72 pin simms and 2.5inch drives up to 2 gig.
Does anybody want any of this stuff? Im just going to throw it away otherwise. Bare in mind Im in australia and postage is probably worth more than the actual items  :)
Near as I can tell this is where I write something under the guise of being innocuous, but really its a pot shot at another persons/peoples choice of Amiga based systems. Unfortunately only I cant see how transparent and petty it makes me look.

Even better. You could sacrifice the parts to the Morphos gods. I'm thinking a Jimi Hendrix guitar style burning of them parts will do quite nicely    :flame:
Even my cat doesn\'t like me.

Put OS3.1 on them and chuck them on eBay.
A2000, A3000, 2 x A1200T, A1200, A4000Tower & Mediator, CD32, VIC-20, C64, C128, C128D, PET 8032, Minimig & ARM, C-One, FPGA Arcade... and AmigaOne X1000.

But then I'll be one of those ebay people I detest, trying to cash in on old junk by putting the name "amiga" in the title.  :)
Nah, seriously though, its just not worth charging people for it.
Probably 50 72 pin simms, but most are 4 an 8 meg, with maybe 4 or 5 16 meg simms.
I'd be happier to give them to someone who can use them than to make $11 or whatevr minus fees from selling to ebay  :)

@haranguer

First I just need to see a photo of you wearing a lime green tutu and heels holding a sign calling me master..........

Ok, maybe not :)

Seriously though, just send me a private message here, or email me at beezle1976@hotmail.com and give me your postcode and I'll check postage costs. So long as its no more than a few dollars I dont mind paying it, but if it is I'll have to get you to pay it sorry. I dont mind giving stuff away, but Id rather it not cost me to do so :)
