Amiga 2000 in Paranormal Activity 3
« on: October 30, 2011, 02:25:16 AM »
Just saw PA 3... the main guy..he's using an Amiga 2000 with a Video Toaster... you cant see the machine but you can tell by the keyboard.

Correct me if I'm wrong... the toaster came out in 1990... yet in the movie, it was set in 1988.

I think part 3 of this dreadfully dull series is supposed to be a prequel.
If that's the case then it would make sense to see an old Ami in it.

Good eye if that's what it is! :)

I think I would rather watch Jersey Shore.

Guys,

One thing led to another and I remember finding out that Oren Peli (Producer and Writer for the Paranormal Activity franchise) is the same Amiga programmer who created Photon Paint.

More about him here.

Pretty cool I'd say for a guy to have such a varied resume in two different, albeit very creative endeavors.

Given that he will want to publicise PA3, he might be prepared to do an interview with an Amiga size/magazine? Anyone know how or what to do?

Somehow this series seems a little less crappy to me all of a sudden. :)

VingtTrois : You must look here then : http://obligement.free.fr/articles/amiga_television_cinema.php

The Video Toaster was demoed in Comdex 1987 but publicly released in 1990. So the character must use a prototype ;-)
