Towerhawk & BPPC/BV?
« on: January 06, 2004, 10:54:26 PM »
Anyone know if the RBM Towerhawk with it's small Zorro2 bussboard supports a BlizzardPPC + BlizzardVision combo and if so what the config jumpers on the bussboard should be set to (I guess both open for "other"?).

i have a towerhawk II tower , and i have a mediator and ppc in it..

sadly i had to saw and bend alot to make the motherboard + mediator etc to fit...

anyway i moved the motherboard from the small room to the big one and fitted it ATX style..

(this is an A1200 btw)..

wasnt a fun job but it went ok, and yes i wont recomend people to do the same as the tower is now useless for anything else (ie an standard a1200 with rbm zorro card etc..)

cheers

pps:jumpers, have no idea i threw the slow zorro stuff away in favor for mediator
Whats up with all the hate!

My tower is a Towerhawk 1200ex with the OnBoard 1200ex Zorro2 board. I've had to cut a bit in the tower to make room for the BPPC040 and it's cooler but the fan won't fit so will have to find another way to keep it cool somehow.

I got this tower second hand without manual or ATX PSU and only had a AT PSU at home so have been some "hacking" already to  fit it all. Won't be able to use the OnKey module but I got another keyboard adaptor at home so no promlems there. I totaly dislike the way the motherboard got the power from this module anyway (through a plug going outside the tower and then into the powersocket without any kinde of shiled sitting with exposed legs way too close to shorting out against the tower itself) so have soldered wires to the motherboard instead.

I'm just very curious if my BPPC with BVision will work in the tower together with the zorroboard. If not I got a B1260 I could use aswell but I'm missing a SCSI module for it and only other GFX card I got is a Piccolo and I belive the BVision beat it's fat behind. :-D
