3d drivers and joysticks
« on: October 19, 2011, 08:32:29 AM »
I have had my new SAM460 for around a week now and even though I am enjoying I can't help but think how much better it would be if I had 3d driver support for the radeonhd 4650.

Is there any news to when they will be appearing? When they do, where do I need to download them to so they will work? I am new to setting things up myself and don't have a clue....

I would also like to find a joypad or joystick for the SAM. I have tried a few PC usb ones but it won't recognise them. Is there a way of setting them up or do I need buy a specific type?

Thanks, yours confusingly

Hello
Have a look to Aminet/Wazp3D for software 3D rendering
May allow you to use Blender...

you could help in betatesting the radeon HD driver.

http://hdrlab.org.nz/projects/amiga-os-4-projects/radeonhd-driver/

I have several no name USB joypads and all of them are working/recognized on my AOS4.1u3 on A1XEG4...

to calibrate them, look here (in german but pictures are self explain) http://www.amiga-resistance.info/homepage/html/mapping/mapping.html

have fun with your new computer !

Arggh! more problems. I tried one usb joypad, which it wouldn't recognise. Then I tried my datel arcade stick, which was recognised. I can configure the buttons but not the joystick part (the x, y coordinates)

It recognises the 'high hat' direction thing when setting up the controler but this doesn't help me as the joystick part doesn't work when I try to play games with it.

Help please...

I wish!  I'd LOVE to be a beta tester for this but unfortunately...

At this stage I have enough beta testers, and so the RadeonHD driver for Amiga OS 4.x beta testing program is now closed.

well I can only tell you the 2 ones I have and are fully working on my AmigaOne both purchased in a local shop:
* Tech Tools Tech Mobility Advance 12-button gamepad with vibration effect
* Speed Link Strike2
* from aother french amigone user : Saitek P220
* and another one but on SAM440 : Logitech Dual Action and Logitech Rumble Pad 2

@mpiva : right, did not see this !
