Well before i maked the choice i searched for revieuws of the sam 460ex with os 4.1 audio video whats supported and what going on in development.

this was very pleasant to read and see on youtube and mailed with the guys from acube to make sure.

important to me was the audio thats working now even its a beta driver.

and the choice of a Sam system with 460ex board didnt saved me money.

about os 4 i had a working ppc classic system before my ppc cpu died on me,
but i'll let you guys know more about the x500 as soon i recieved it but it will take a while.

To ship it, you take the box to the post office on your
morning coffee break. Cancel your credit card payment with your
card providers service department. This is inexcusable  behavior.

Was it shipped via air or land?  Airmail "cheap " can take about 14 days but land is like 2 months...

I don't think Acube is there to piss off customers....hold on, it will come. :)

that The Acube Guys are busy with building systems etc. is only good news.

when its shipped it can recieve it in a days or three.
so im still waiting to hear that they shipped it.

Don't worry, it'll get to you before long I'm sure. I think Amiwest probably affected things, but it'll be worth the wait!

What effect would Amiwest have had on Acube?

I assumed they might have someone over there then.
Either way, I'm sure there's a good reason. Acube have always been reliable in the past, I see no reason why that would have changed.

It took DELL 3 weeks to ship a laptop to me. I'm not surprised that it takes time to build/configure and test each x500 machine.

If I had a dozen computers such as would be popular at Ami-west, I would have had them burned in, boxed up, and waiting for the shipping label, with the Fiat warmed up and ready to drive to the post office, while the kids spammed all Amiga sites saying Buy, Buy! Buy!!

A business that relies on a few websites, like this one, and a few shows,
like Ami-west, to generate interest in their products, should have someone scouring all Amiga forums daily, to provide customer support, and reliable up-to-the-moment information.

Since California and Italy are both bankrupt. and largely populated by
bimbos, slackers, and the corrupt politicians who fleece them, I would not buy anything from those places, without being present at the sale, since businesses in such unstable locales, can vanish in a maze of legalese and redtape. Along with your money.  If any company does not answer the phone, cancel the order
with your credit card service department.
