If so in what capacity?  (I remember when Berkeley Softworks was running their whole business on the Commodore 64!)

Our Dispatch computer is an Amiga 1200T/Mediator 1200LT4/Blizzard 1260/128MB with graphics card/network card and HP Laser printer.  We use this for order updates and printing invoices and packing slips.

Our other office computer is also Amiga 1200T/Mediator 1200TX/Blizzard PPC/256MB/Radeon graphics card/network card and HP Laser printer.  It is used for DTP, printing manuals and documents.

Third office computer is another A1200/HDD/ACA 1230 used for testing and imaging floppy disks with EasyADF.

These are all networked up together.

We also have a couple of Technical bench A4000, A4000T, A600, A500, MicroA1, SAM460 and A1200s for product testing

Isn't there some dentist using 4.1 on an AmigaOne somewhere?

When these (eventually) die of old age, will you be replacing them with MorphOS/OS4 machines?

I'd like to, though I may take the option of offering free downloads and for-sale copies with boxes and manuals, if one of the retrogaming distributors is amenable once it's finished...

I dont mean to answer for amigakit here so i will answer for me ;) but no way! there are enough parts in the pipeline and spares around for another 20 years and when those are gone, some genius will come up with fpga/cpld replacement parts. always natami too i guess.
Old amiga's are robust, most the problems on ones i fixed are leaking caps, bad power supplies,connector/socket bad contact issues and battery damage.most people have gotten smart enough not to kill the cia's by shorting the ports etc.Sadly so many are easily fixable and get tosses in the bin. very few actual chip issues.there are some who insist on plugging a particular old gvp scsi card into z3 machines with a jumper set wrong and frying z3-usually a burned trace and or dead/or only works in z2 mode buster results.

Oh,almost forgot. I use a A4000/mediator/csppc with dual 32gb cf's on the scsi chain via acard adapters for a daily machine and all email from the shopping cart and other accounts is funneled thru yam.it runs 24/7 and has since around 94 when i got the original desktop 4000(obviously i've upgraded over the years from a warpengine/destop to csppc and tower etc).

Best of luck! :)

We are OK for stock, don't worry: we currently have around 450x A1200 motherboards that our Technician is steadily working through, replacing capacitors, adding the new timing fixes and refurbishing to a high standard.  These are then cased in new white cases, keyboards for sale on our webstore as Amiga 1200 Built To Order

As a web master i often use DPaint to make simple animations (i turn them into animGIF's or import into flash). It's been awhile but i've also used ImageFX to do things like lightning effects. Last year i used Distant Suns 4 to make some realistic sky backgrounds showing constellations, moon phases etc...

Use an A1200HD with 060 and 32MB RAM. To transfer files to my PC i use a modem to FTP the files to my web server then i FTP from server down to PC.

Have planned on backing up the A1200 and using WinUAE on the PC instead, to free up some space, but have never gotten around to it.

I used to do pixel graphics in UAE, it is much better in WinUAE, you can save image to PC-folder directly for example, and graphics is much faster.

I can not do 2D non shaded buttons in Photoshop so IMHO there is still a market for DPaint6 Windows edition.

I video tape 4-5 theatre plays a year and use Scala MM400 on my A1200 to put opening titles and closeing credits on the DVD's for the cast members, director etc.

I think Ferrule Media uses AmigaOS 4.1 and SAM machines from Acube to power their "Dental Kanal" software (http://www.ferrule-media.no/dental-kanal.html). There should be some dentists around using this software. :)
