Maybe it'll be a tie with the Amiga boing ball on it?

Probably a coincidence...
Viscorp : "We take final possession of Amiga technology and rights on September 19th. We are here now to develop our strategies and find out what the users want. Check our web site for more developments."

Look at the date...Maybe I took the wrong one :)

More dates on the 25th anniversary video by Rogue.

What I would do is an X86 Amiga with AROS and the AROS kickstart before C=USA release its Amiga lines. Just because people buy that stuff, and the money earned from it could fuel real Amiga projects. (ie OS 4.x and its HW)
Doing so Acube will cannibalize its Sam HW so its surely not that.

Sam with minimig core in its FPGA would be cool if possible, it could also be an Amiga HW emulation in software within OS4, trapping HW calls and mapping them to the underlying HW. (ex using pixel shaders for copper...)

Low price X1000 make a lot of sense but it'll also lower the interest of the X1000 too early I think.
A deal with Jens for CloneA? too early too since I suppose the 19th will be the launch date.

Lowering the price would reduce interest? How does that work? This isn't 100-year-old port wine we're talking here, anything that could bring the price down from "mid-range wall-sized flat-screen TV" to something even halfway closer to the world of "hobby computer purchase" could only help, interest-wise.

I agree.
Lets make an announcement and maybe 2 years later release it.

Whatever it is I hope it ships in 90 days or less, this whole announce something and then delay after delay is getting really old.  It's an Amiga tradition best abandoned while there is at least some community left.

I meant an Affordable X500, like the A500 compared to the A1000.

Well, you'll kindly note that the Amiga only really took off when the 500 was released as it provided the same (actually, slightly improved) technology at a lower cost. If by "X500" you mean something along the lines of the X1000's tech at a more affordable price, who cares if it overshadows the original? Let it!

(Not saying that's likely, but theoretically speaking, I wouldn't shed any tears if an affordable PA6T system stole its thunder.)

I suppose that nobody care except the ones who put their money on th X1000.
but yet again they said that the SAM line of computers are kind of an entry level Amiga NG. But I agree the price for now is too high for many.

A sub £300 system would be nice.  Just a plain box with a bunch of USB connections, a DVI out, wifi, a few gig of ram and a hard disk would do quite nicely...

Alright, next guess...

The long lost next incarnation of Amithlon will finally be released and will be compatible with Touch Screen Devices!
