I am just back from holiday and got to check my two main monitors with my stock A1200. They BOTH work!!! (oh the excitement!)

How do they look in interlace mode?  PAL, NTSC, MULTISYNC (640x960)

I would still like to find one that deinterlaces as well...

The geometry on the SR2320L is pretty good which is lucky because it does not have many settings. There is some banding, but it really seems most noticeable when the screen has a black background. It still beats anything I have used with my 1200 so far...

I was playing with DpaintV and Brilliance and True Brilliance, playing a few games, etc. with the new monitor. Pretty nice. Color looks great!

Haven't had time to do more tests but I forgot to say yesterday (and in response to the question above) that all interlaced modes have very intense flickering (on the Dell, did not try the NEC with interlaced modes) to the point of making it unusable with these modes.

That's not an issue for me, as I find the 'productivity' screenmode (640x400)  adequate for most non-game tasks.

Will try to post some pictures first chance I get.

If you need any specific tests done, just ask and I'll try to do them tomorrow.

cool!

Interesting. your U2311H looks like it has the same exact OSD as my SR2320.

The NEC is nice because it looks like 4:3 monitor :)

Oh man that is cool.  I'm going to have to try my A1200 too.  I never imagined that it'd be possible without an expensive adapter.

Yes both the DELL and the NEC work with games (PAL/NTSC resolutions). Here are some more pictures:

Well, I did the unmentionable and got the monitor from Best Buy. Took it home and test it. It works very well at NTSC and PAL resolutions, very clear, interlace works too, but it flickers. Dbl NTSC works well too, Dbl PAL is out of range (I'm not sure if it was interlace mode or not).
So I took it back next day, because I found better deal on Amazon for $129.99 refurbished instead $179.99 at Best Buy. I was in the returns line for about 20 min before someone showed up , not happy people behind me either.

Can't wait till I get the monitor again.
Thanks for the find,

I have one of those RGBS to VGA converters, they work fine for NTSC mode, but in PAL it just freezed display, drove me nuts. One thing I will miss is the interlace flicker fix.

DBLPAL and DBLNTSC are really only there in a half baked effort to support monitors that can't do PAL/NTSC. Other than that, pretty useless.

wow. hope it works out for you and you don't get one with dead pixels or worse.

I bought a refurb Sony Vaio notebook once and the back-light did not work when it arrived. Sony made good (it had a 90 day warranty) and I never had a problem with the notebook again. It still mostly works.

Weird that DoublePAL doesn't work. Do you have VGAOnly in Devs:Monitors? There are a few screenmode editing utils on Aminet - you could probably get it working by tweaking it with one of those.

Anyway, I'll know soon enough myself - I've got an SR2320L coming in the mail :)
