Aminet domain expired - back up for a decade!!

[strike]aminet.net has expired.  I went to Network Solutions to renew it (gesture to the community, since I've never donated to AmiNet,) but NSI is restricted by ICANN policy to not allow "anonymous" renewals to expired domains.

If anyone has inside contact information to AmiNet admins, please pass this along.[/strike]  I spoke with Daniel Freedman in chat today, who was exceptionally helpful, and he provided his contact information below (sans email address, don't want the poor guy getting spammed.)  He has turned it back on as a convenience, but note the WHOIS still shows as expired 15-Aug-2011.

Wow, you rock - thanks. I already posted a news item which is awaiting approval, I guess I have to modify that, then ;-)

Urban Müller has already been informed, the issue should be fixed real soon.

It's still working fine for me, but if anyone needs access in the meantime, the raw IP address is http://69.163.220.116

it wouldn't have worked simply using the IP address; adding it to the hosts file, along with the domain name it would.

Anyway http://aminet.net is back now!

Yup.  It was working earlier thanks to Daniel.  As of now it is renewed until 2021.  Rock on!
