Vesalia ordering...
« on: January 01, 2004, 02:52:06 PM »
I ordered a NTSC A1200 motherboard (new old stock) and a FlickerMagicT flicker fixer/scan doubler from Vesalia.  I had e-mailed them repeatedly asking about stock levels and other things and got no response.  Someone advised that you prob. just need to order and they would respond to the order ticket - I did and they did after a few days.  So I asked a few more questions and got no response so I just went ahead, crossed my fingers, and payed via PayPal in Euroes (I am in the states).

So is this how it is done with Vesalia?  Would they have let me know if they were out of stock?  I got no response after paying via PayPal and am now, it seems, waiting for the items to show up.

When I ordered a good number of things from them back in late '00, they were quite responsive via e-mail.  Hard times, I guess?

Thanks.

Vesalia have always been that way with me. A year or so ago I wanted to buy a BPPC from them... I sent what must of been 15 emails and 3 faxes, not one response from them, didnt even answer the phone when I phoned. So I decided that I wouldnt let them have my money and went elsewhere... I refuse to do buisness with a company that wont speak to me.

Well, they seem to have some items that no one else does these days.  I never should have sold that Winner Tower back in '02...  :-(

Hi there,

I ordered a couple of bits and pieces from Vesalia last month and received them within a week!  They weren't hard to source items, though.
Did your Paypal payment definitely go through?

I have only had the one dealing with them, so can't really comment on their reputation.

Hmmm.
I ordered a BlizzPPC from Vesalia in October 2002 IIRC, and everything went fine, it just took a little while. They are next to impossible to get an answer from on email, but if you use the good old telephone they are quite helpful.

Hi there.

I ordered 2 sets of A1200 3.1 Roms from Vesalia.

Before the order, I mailed them to ask their bank account.
The same day I had the answer and also the TOTAL payment costs INCLUDING shipment costs to Greece !!!

5 days later I had the goods in my office via Post Services. ( In Greece !!!!!!!  :-o )

I think vesalia is good enough for me  :-D

Hi all,

at 03-Dec-2003, i've ordered ONLINE an item (1 68040) . . .  .not yet received.

Vesalia as usual, has replyed at 05-Dec to confirm the order.

After those "order confirmed mail" by Vesalia, i've tried 3-4 times, to have some update from Vesalia, without ANY answer.

Ciao

PS- fortunately COD

I am in the United States.  We'll see how long it takes.

I've had good and bad experience with them....the bad one is was the same lack of communication some of you say. The good one was good communication, but it was 2 years ago when I enquired them about a product.

I`d say you all better cut them some slack.
I too had that and that experiance with them: once ignoreing me completely and then sending me 3 spare CDTV Boards for the price of one.
I recently had a talk on the phone with Mr. Does and it seems live isn`t easy for him and his family (I won`t go into detail as this is private)
While this still doesn`t justifies everything I can see how that makes the behaviour differ from time to time.
E-mail seems to be a dead end in general but if you phone them up you will allways get a positive and freindly answer. Well I can see that this is not possible from all the way from the US.
Not really interesting, but it`s there.

Last time I ordered from them it took about a week and a half.  No problems with the order though.  They'll tell you if it's out of stock before you pay with PayPal  though so don't worry about that.
Time to move on.  Bye Amiga.org.  :(

When did you place the order? Remember it will probably take a bit of time to be delivered being an international order and the Holiday Season. Did they send you an order confimation? Shipping confimation? Tracking number?
If you think it's taking too long, keep bugging them.

I'm inclined to agree with Lemmink. I ordered from
Vesalia a few months ago, and Mr. Does got my order
(of a now rare part) to me in just over a week, all
the way overseas to the US. Running a small business
is NOT EASY, especially if you have the pressures
of supporting a family...anyhow, I would order from
them again without worry (KDH is also good too BTW).

I have ordered from Vesalia 5 or 6 times now, and although they don´t always reply to my e-mails, they always send me my stuff without delay..

I did get a little irritated once, when it took 4 months to get my Cyberstorm MkIII repaired, but as it turns out, it wasn´t their fault... :)

yes i have noticed this aswell (NO RESPONSE but beeing fairly fast anyway)...

can it be because of SPAM EMAIL?

can it be because of BAD TIMES?

i have no idea but its sure annoying, when i go ans buy something then i want service, i dont care if its here within 5 days as thats not service...

kdh was simmilar until they got the response system (which u have to be logged in to see)..

iospirit has no service either anymore (also lame LOG ON system) , i am pretty sure all of theese is because of SPAM EMAIL and its pretty UNPERSONAL stuff ;(

Whats up with all the hate!
