Anyone using Amitcp 4.1?

Hi All,

I've got Amitcp 3.02b working on my A1200, but thought I'd give version 4.1 a try...

Has anyone got this version of Amitcp working with the Prism wifi drivers?

When I try and run the startnet start script I just get the 'Amitcp couldn't be started!' error message. Also when I try running the online command followed by my interface name it just gives the error message 'S2_Online: inappropriate state (unit not configured), and then the LED on my MA401 pcmcia card starts blinking. So something must be talking to my prism driver.

Before I spend any more time on this I thought I'd ask the question...If anyone does have it working and could give me some hints that would be great ;-) I could also post my interfaces and startnet config files on here if that helps.

I guess this means nobody is using Amitcp 4.1 with a WIFI card??

If anyone ever does get this working please PM me as I'm sure its just something small I'm not configuring correctly.

JJ - haha yeah your right, I should have been revising!! Passed today :-)

Thomas, I downloaded it about a year ago, I found the link on a torrent search site, I don't think anyone is seeding anymore. I forgot that I'd copied the adf's to disk last year and recently found them when looking through disks. I can create adf's and send them to you if you like? Let me know.

Congrats on the red hat pass MB, see you could have been amiga-ing after all! (I have a nice boxed set of red hat 6.1 here on the bookshelf.)
My AmiTCP discs say 4.22, can't remember where or when I got them. My startnet is configured for 3c589 lan with 3.02b as I had no luck with 4.22. May not be any use, happy to forward a copy if it helps.

I can't say what revision I use, I use the Easynet package I bought from amigakit and it installs and runs flawlesly.
And its actually rather cheap. So far I have used it with a 3c589, x-surf and hydranet all 3 works problem free.

Long story short, buy their package and your troubles are over.
