The site has advertising, and cheap hosting requirements. What are the donations for and why are they needed? If it was for a specific thing then perhaps, but it seems to be an ongoing "please give", with no clue the amounts being taken already. no thanks.

We are not making millions here, not even hundreds. Donations have been minimal.

I'm just messin' with ya! Will donate more in time. It's a good habit.

I never thought you were making millions - but an unknown amount still. I find it hard to believe you haven't made at least a few hundred including subscription fees and advert revenue, but since it's not published I will never know. It doesn't cost a lot to run a site like this. Some free time perhaps, but then, that's the same for lots of people who run amiga websites.

The subject is brought up quite often, so I'm just commenting on it.

The kitty - many years ago - would say how much was needed for the month and how much had been raised. Can that come back?

And it was!  Any money given to A.ORg, no matter how, is a donation.  Getting the account is, in a way, a "Thank You" for your donation.  If you don't want or need the account, then donating via "Feed the Kitty" comes into play. :)

Isn't that what the ignore feature is for?  Or is this some moral war where "a person shouldn't have to ignore people!!111"?

Just curious why using the ignore feature wouldn't work for most people.

The "Ignore" function works most of the time for me, otherwise I would no longer be here, but I gotta love the sentiment in koaftder's post.
How are you helping the Amiga community? :)
