Three loaded A2000's went for under $600, or under $200 a pop.  Somebody got themselves a pretty sweet deal!  I would've bid in on this, except for one thing: how much space they would take up!

A loaded A2000 usually fetches at least $300 each around here, or more (since one of these had an '040 board), plus three Toasters, RAM, etc.  The auction gave a pretty good breakdown of what was included, but they were "untested", no photos of batteries, and then there was the shipping cost to consider, haha.  ;)

I have a strong suspicion that whoever bought these is just going to take what they need and then part out the rest for $$$.  Heck, I probably would've done the same.  :p

That's a pretty sweet A3K tower though! I must admit I've not seen one of those before.  I thought A3K machines always came in the desktop style casing.

No pictures of the motherboard on that 3000T, I'd be careful, if the original battery is still in there :(

UK Guys.  Remember the second Oric 8 bit.  the Oric Atmos.
It's held its value well. I always thought it was a great looking machine and envied its keyboard: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/RARE-ORIC-ATMOS-48K-ORIGINAL-BOX-FOAMS-MANUAL-TAPES-ETC-/311390206334?nma=true&si=Zga0vbr5dNUonjQJRDqgYQb3Ba8%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

Holy crap, for the price I expected it to be decked out in upgrades, PPC, etc.  But no, it's an A4000D.  Pretty much exactly like I bought a few years back for 400 bucks, though this one looks like it is cleaner than mine was, still need to whiten mine up a bit.

But still...

Sadly, it did have a CyberStormPPC, CyberVisionPPC in it a few weeks ago.

The CVPPC is listed separately, and a very dead CSPPC is available if someone is interested.  When I bought the CSPPC a while back I was warned that the PPC side didn't start up all the time.  I never had a moment of trouble with it.  I ordered and installed OS4.1FE a few weeks ago and ran it for about a week solid.  The SCSI chip failed, then the PPC and finally the whole board died.  I moved the CVPPC, the 060 and the RAM to another board, they are tested and work great.

Check out the other items I have listed as well.  I have a Hydra Systems Amiganet NIC for sale and a Merlin RTG board and an RBM ONBoard 4000/Towerhawk rig too.  Sold my A3660 (A3640 with 060 conversion) boards, sold my other A4000s - this is the last machine to go.

Is there a how-to somewhere for creatining a 'A3660'?  I still have my A3640 sittiing in a closet and was always curious to know if it was possible to slap an 060 in it.

There are a few sites relating to the project.  Here is one:

"Alexh" would be a main contact to get you started.
