Well let's hope he got the listing right on this item: http://www.ebay.com/itm/ADULT-BRASS-ROUND-CYLINDER-SOLID-BRASS-CREMATION-URN-/391081183896?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5b0e414a98

It would be uncomfortable to know it was still in use...

Here is a fun listing:  http://www.ebay.com/itm/Commodore-Amiga-2000-Model-US-ASCII-VERSION-/311360426364?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item487e87117c

Yes folks; this a sale of the ASCII version, not the common IBM EBCDIC version!

A once is a lifetime deal for a rare ASCII keyboard!

Being a US version, it won't work on PAL systems, and you Canadians are SOL too, as it won't spell "Color" as "Colour."

Ha ha, I have installed as a VM on my macbook for work, Antergos Linux, which apparently is based in Australia, since my locale was set to en_AU.UTF-8, and when typing into things with spellcheck, it kept marking things like color and favorite incorrect until I put in that extra u.  Was tempted to leave it that way so I can make my coworkers think I'm trying to be a British wannabe.

To us in the US of A, this one is very interesting.  http://www.ebay.com/itm/321757001401

All the 1000's sold here needed the Kickstart disk.

Relatively reasonable considering how unusual this particular model is.

I got one of those where no kickstart disk is needed, I was told the mod was most likely done by the dealer, I still have to investigate it further :)

If it's just KS1.3 split across 4 eproms then it's should be quite easy to replicate i'd have thought? I can see any physical mods on the MB.

Is it possible to split KS3.1 across four ROMs for a 1000?

yep, WinHex would do it, that's pretty much how you make two physical roms for an a1200 or a4000 from a single rom file. Just need to know which eproms are compatible and work out what address to split them at.

EDIT: Hmm, more info here - looks like you also need to bridge W2 & W4 which is easy.

Much thanks!

No worries, I wish I had a 1000 to try all this out on - I'd have bought that US one (and made the Rom's available) if it wasnt for me buying a house right now and not having the spare funds.

Must be a troll, especially with talking about the hate mail and the $1000 shipping.  Sorry if this has been beaten to death already.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Amiga-1000/151426013460?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D29006%26meid%3D2f4734790f854d9a96eb59362e353494%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D231550638926&rt=nc

Some people have nothing better to do with their time.  Maybe other people with nothing better to do with their time should start reporting this auction as stolen property, or as a scam, or something.  Get the seller's ebay account flagged... you know, just for being annoying.  ;)

Well, since the A2410 just went for over $500 and that Amiga dual CPU card for over $3000, what do you guys think this is going to go for?

Although at least the A2410 is usuable, haha. ;) Where is all this rare S**t all of a sudden coming out of the woodwork? Did some hoarder kick the bucket, somewhere?

Or someone got married.  Then again in some circles, that's the same thing ;)

Sex, or the lack thereof, are motivating factors (i.e., letting the little head control the big head); then again, death is too!
