When you look closely, you can see him taking the picture with his phone in the reflection; what you can't see is any evidence that all that stuff is in a "Clean Room."  His facial hair looks like it would just fit between the heads and the platter.

He's such an idiot that I'm impressed. I mean, that takes years of dodging school and doing glue and stuff surely. I can't believe a level of stupid like that is something anyone can be born with. Having said that, he's smarter than anyone that actually buys it.

No hard drives are made in a sealed vacuum.  They just happen to be sealed to keep dust, hair etc out.  There is a reason you don't want to open it...

Though 500MB definitely did not get released during the cold war era.  Even my Mega STe that I got in '91-'92 had a 50mb.  Either way, open or not open, working or not working... Why the hell would anyone pay more than 20 bucks for that?

I guess if the cold war era was circa 1986, then that would be true.  That is when that drive was manufactured.  However, it appears that is a 5MB drive, not a 500MB drive.  It looks like the one used by CBM for their first hard drives for the C64.

The IC density made me question its size, though I wasn't going to try to read all the blurry photos.  He's just funny all-around.

Oh My God!  There is an Amiga 1000 for sale on eBay by a US (New Hampshire) seller for $4,000 -- pick up only with the transaction to be held in the local police parking lot due to the price.  Let me see on how many levels this is just fricking strange...

Is New Hampshire the "Lost Touch with Reality" state?

Mitchie?  Jay Miner's dog?  -- So what is being smoked in Vermont?  What ever is smoked in police parking lots in New Hampshire must blow that dude's socks off!

You know the term "Dude" goes back to biblical times; there is a whole book of the old testament named after it, "Deuteronomy."

Ha ha, yup, Jay Miner's dog.

The 'Dudes' must be getting some of that real good stuff to expect those prices.  And to want some sort of armed guard for the exchange is hilarious.

Well if he values his 1000 at $4,000 he shouldn't have a problem buying one from me for $1,000 .. that would be a serious steal as he could resell it for $4,000

You know, I have made similar suggestions to people who list their stuff for outrageous prices .. I just don't get it though .. nobody ever takes me up on my offer :biglaugh:
