RE: A small bundle of Apple hardware:

Shipping to Seattle is only $1388.71.

I thought the price already included shipping costs :D

Well, I hope that's a typo. I see that he already sold 12 of them for 25.

Most likely it is temporarily out of stock, some sellers will increase the price to deter further sales when they are awaiting more stock from their supplier,
just means they don't have to end the current listing.

That's it! I give up! Let us stick with emulators.

I emailed to confirm that it wasn't a typo... apparently not? hmm...

$62.50 postage seems a bit steep? I guess that's to cover the $750 worth of insurance...

I asked, and her logic is that based on the purchase price years ago, plus an allowance for that time, and given the item is vintage, she came up with the figure. She says it is backed up by other prices she has seen.

I don't quite agree with her method, but accept that it is her choice and item to do with what she wishes.

To the best of my recollection, I bought one about 10 - 12 years ago, for $65...

Which makes me wonder how much she paid for hers...

I couldn't resist posting this one from a pretty well established eBay Amiga dealer:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Commodore-Amiga-4000-A4000-Desktop-Computer-with-40gbHD-CDR-OS3-9-/271152248613?pt=US_Vintage_Computers_Mainframes&hash=item3f21eef725

For the price, I'm suprised at the lack of a few amenities like a CSPPC, Picasso IV, Deneb or a few others. Not even free shipping and the monitor is being sold seperately. This is the highest price I've every seen asked for a stock A4000 regardless of the condition.
A2500 owned since 1993 with A2630/DKB 2632, DKB Megachip, GVP EGS Spectrum, A2320 and GVP HC+8 on the inside and a DCTV on the outside. A4000D with CSPPC, Cybervision 64 and a Flicker Magic flicker fixer. A4000T Toaster Flyer & CSMKII. All systems completly retro and classic and mostly used to do geometic art as in my avatar.

That's sold by Robert Waters (from over in Mississippi, not actually Memphis, TN);  he sells clean, working Amiga (usually Toaster related) hardware.  He also knows market value, and I'll bet this is a bit of a joke for him.

===================

Now I like this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/commodore-amiga-500-upgraded-to-1000-/130848852123?pt=US_Vintage_Computers_Mainframes&hash=item1e7733089b

He is selling an A500 "upgraded to a 1000."  Huh? Or perhaps "upgraded to 100."  We may never know WTF that means without bidding $10.  Ah, the follies of the silly!
