Sock draws
« on: June 14, 2011, 02:57:13 AM »
Does this community need a "Sock Draw"?
What is a "Sock Draw"?
Why was this thread moved into one?

Who moved it?

I didn't even know we had one.  AmigaWorld.net seem to think the subject is newsworthy, so why don't we?

Thoughts?

I absolutely agree that whoever made this decision should confess and justify their reasoning for this move.
The thread was discussing a valid point related to the fraudulent representation of specific images.

In what way was this thread not newsworthy?

At the risk of censure, bring them in your anus if you must.

I brought a suitcase back from the UK last month stuffed full of Walkers S&V, chicken and smokey bacon crisps and... Wotsits!  The USA doesn't have Wotsits, they have Cheatos which taste like a Wotsit that has been stuck up someone's bottom for a month after they have eaten 20 curries and drank a glass of vomit.

Whatever they are, they're beef flavored. I'm not eating anything beef flavored that comes in a bag.
if I want something that tastes like beef, I'll eat beef.

BTW - If Wayne is the only mod logged in, then isn't it likely that the decision to move the thread was his?

Hey Wayne! WTF?

Ah, cheers.  It doesn't seem to fall into that category though.  "Investigative journalism" is more like it.

Serious head....

I do feel this has now become yet another story that has come and gone. Barry has made his comment over the pics. Whether true or false we are just going to have to live with it now. If any other fallout happens over this then maybe it should become news worthy again. But this has certainly past it's sell by date now.

So you want some Space Raiders then Darrin?

Spin it anyway you want, its another example of poor decision making at C=USA.
There's no expiration date on dung as it stinks worse the older it gets.

And, please, shut up about the snax.

No one going to bother calling them out on the fact they claimed those pics to be of actual C-USA products, lol?

Someone at the company had to OK it before he was permitted to post them, no?  Wouldn't a person at C-USA look a little closer at the pics to verify that they were indeed your own product rather than 2+ year old photos from another website?

Still puzzles me why A.org doesn't simply tell parties like this to pay for banner ads if they wish to cram their wares down our necks.  But instead they can tell tales, insult the users here, and make grand promises that garners them attention for free.  They are worse than Fox News for righteous, intolerant self promotion.   I hope everyone that has ever put cash into the kitty here resents the fact you've donated your hard earned money to allow the site to operate as free advertising for a company that treats the community with complete disdain.

PS:  "Sock Draw" thread move is cheap, I would have had more respect if  the thread was just deleted, and I'm sure I am not the only one.

It is 10 pages that after the first was mostly pointless then eventually got there. Not to mention the numerous violations. By all means feel free to continue. I just won't be showing on the front page.
