.nrg is a disc image for Nero. I have never heard of it on Amiga in my experience though.

as mentioned earlier it is a CD image file similar to an ISO file.  you should be able to burn it to a CD, but if you can't (or don't want to), try using diskimage.device for OS3.  i use the OS4 version all of the time to mount ISOs (and NRGs) to the workbench and it works quite well.  it comes with a GUI so you don't have to do everything from the shell.

i don't know how it works under OS3, but on my SAM it works like a charm.  let us know if this helps....

Worst comes to worst you could always download it in windows/linux/mac and burn it that way.

I recently did a compile of NRG2ISO for 68k/OS3.x., which as the title suggests will convert between disc image types. There's a million and one ways to deal with all sorts of image types on amigaos, but if youre interested in nrg2iso then let me know.
Near as I can tell this is where I write something under the guise of being innocuous, but really its a pot shot at another persons/peoples choice of Amiga based systems. Unfortunately only I cant see how transparent and petty it makes me look.
