Hi Effy,

Do you also have got an IDE controller inside ??

Why would I want IDE when I already have SCSI.  SCSI is a lot nicer and faster then IDE.  SCSI drives are usually higher quality then IDE drives too, this is why they cost about twice as much.  I even have SCSI on my Pentium 4 PC computer.  SCSI is so well made that I still have an old Seagate 5 Meg hard drive that still runs just fine with no errors on the platters.  This 5 Meg drive is in my old Lisa computer that is 20 years old.  They just don't make computers like that anymore.     :-P

Picasso II cards etc. work fine in North America.
The best setup for a A2000 is a PII with a flicker-fixer.
Works great with only 1 meg chip ram.  The only thing
missing is AGA modes, but no loss, we all know OCS/ECS/RTG games rule  :-P

I already have an A2320 (Amber) board in the video slot.  Will the Picasso II board work with this card?  Would I be able to run 800 X 600 resolution and 256 colors with this setup?  How do I hook up one SVGA monitor to both cards, or do I have to use 2 SVGA monitors?  Thanks for your help, Lo.     :-D

Sure it works....

Just get a short VGA-cable, and connect the Amber-output to the
input socket of the Picasso. Don't forget to select "passthrough" when
installing CGX or P96, and off you go.
1. Make an announcment.
2. Wait a while.
3. Check if it can actually be done.
4. Wait for someone else to do it.
5. Start working on it while giving out hillarious progress-reports.
6. Deny that you have ever announced it
7. Blame someone else

Howdy,  the picasso II does not use the video slot.  Yes,
800x600 256 colors and more.

A short cable was provided with the PII which connects the
A2320 into the bottom connector of the PII.  The top connector goes to 1 monitor.
note*
A2000 owners are limited to 8 megs of Ram:, unless they own an accelerator card with its own 32 bit memory.  Should you wish to install the PII into an Amiga with 8 megs, you will not be able to access the the memory on the PII since it needs its own memory range to address the video ram.  You can remove 2 or 4 megs of ram, or run the PII in "segmented" mode which will result in a slower refresh.  More next week... :-P

Take a flat-head screwdriver and put it in a zorro slot while your amiga is on, and the monitor is plugged in and on as well.  Hammer the handle of the screwdriver until you see 256 colors.

Move to the next slot if that doesn't work.  Then try the ISA slots, then the video slot, then the CPU slot.

Trust me, it'll make your A2000 more...professional
Back away from the EU-SSR!

Yes, I do have a ViewSonic SVGA monitor plugged into the A2320 board that is installed inside my Amiga 2500 Professional computer. My Workbench 2.04 on this computer is setup for NTSC, NOT for PAL and I do NOT want to have to switch between NTSC and PAL modes all the time. That would not be good for the monitor. Anyway, NTSC looks much better then PAL mode.

"You did not ban me punk, I had quit. There is a big difference. One of your Moderators was flippin me some ####, so I told him to go XXXX himself ! Then I ORDERED YOU to close my account and you did it. Just remember what I said. I do not bluff. I have already hacked into your system. There is nothing that you can do to stop me except shut down the system. I will be studying the structure of your system over the next week or so to determine the best way to attack it. I will be contacting my group in Australia to help out in this matter. You see, Kees, I happen to be a founding member of one of the largest Pirate groups in the world. When we decide to go after somebody, WE DO NOT XXXX AROUND !!!!

That was pretty ####ty of you removing the last post I made. I was telling everybody that I was leaving Amiga.org. I was saying bye and that it was fun, and you removed the post. WHY?! Kees, YOU ARE A XXXXXXX XXXXXXX! My group is going to do everything in our power to hack into your system and xxxx it up. We also have some nasty Trojan virus to send your way. So when you start having problems with your system and you can't figure it out, just think of DOOMMASTER !!!! Ha Ha Ha Ha Haaaaaa !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You XXXXXXX PUNK !"
