can i use amiga 1200 hard drive in amiga 4000

If i use amiga 1200 hardrive in amiga 4000 what lib files will i need to keep it stable ie playing games

There shouldnt be many problems. But you will need an adaptor from 44 to 40 pin unless you are using a full size 3.5" HD in your A1200. Does your A1200 have an accelerator, or any 3rd party clockport add-ons? It should be pretty straight forward.

You can add newer libs, but if you have a standard workbench install, the 040 libs should be there already. What processor board do you have installed in the 4000?

Its the standard 030 cpu with zoram fast ram

I tryed to play chaos engine and it failed but when i tryed it in winuae with 4000 setup it worked fine
Im using classic workbench which was already installed when i bought it with games but it was set up for amiga 1200

When I got my A4000, I had an A1200 also. I got a HD for the A4000, did a clean workbench install and then copied my games over. Do you get any error messages?
