Wow... you never cease to amaze me TheGoose... :afro:

First you do a brilliant Woody Allen impersonation, then you do an equally impressive Swedish Cuckoo Clock Maker looky likey and now you've topped them all with that brilliant Michael Jackson voice... :D

A man of many talents I see, need to get you an agent quick... :)

PS:Sorry can't help with the A1000 problem as I don't have one anymore... :(

Doesn't the Indivision go in the Denise socket? You say Paula in your video. Just checking. I made an adapter to put a FFV in my 1000 and it goes in the Denise socket.

The adapter for the 1000 goes in the Paula socket.

Looks like it was designed by someone who had a 1000 without the daughter board.

I just ordered one of these A1000 adapters for the ECS Indivision from AmigaKit, and now you are saying that it does not fit???

Since I also live in the lands of NTSC and I think that all of my A1000's have daughter-boards in them, this would be a problem for me as well.  I wonder why no one else has reported this on any forums and there is no mention of it from Individual Computers, or warning on the AmigaKit site?

I was not even aware that there were/are any A1000 models that came without the daughter-boards.
How are you helping the Amiga community? :)

Sorry, my A1000 days are distant foggy memories.  Glad there are qualified people here with the correct answers. Hope it is resolved soon.

We can hope I'll be shot to pieces and there is no problem. That's what I'm hoping for. I asked AmigaKit if they had any examples, images of this configuration, no is what they responded. I also wrote Jens today. Then I made the video.

To me, the adapter board could have been made to work over the Denise just as easily, see Jeff's work with an ICD board:

Maybe the adapter I made would work for this one too? Does Paula have the same number of pins as Denise?

Only A1000s that use Kickstart ROM and remove the Kickstart WOM RAM wouldn't have a daughterboard......very rare!

I think it's as simple as setting the adaptor over the right chip, the Denise, and not the Paula chip?

I have read and re-read the Indivision ECS directions and it says nothing about the Paula chip. Please check again because I am sure the adapter goes in the Denise socket "because the power supply is in the way".

AmigaKit has removed their instructions page... that was there yesterday:
http://www.amigakit.co.uk/support/indivision-ecs-a1000.php

Remember we are talking about the Adapter board instruction for A1000, not the Indivision itself.

Ok, sorry. I don't actually own one so I can't speak from experience, obviously.

On the A500, A2000, A3000 and CDTV the IndivisionECS goes where the Denise chip sits. Obviously AmigaKit have some leftover pin/formfactor-compatible paula adapters for some other hardware that they are selling for use with the IndivisionECS in A1000. As long as the adapter is pin for pin transferred over there should be no problem in using it and just ignore the "Paula" socket on the adapter. The adapter is just to move the IndivisionECS out of the way of the A1000 PSU.
