Well, I've the the A3000 up on TCP with the DENEB and can ping back and fourth, and the AmiTCP log indicates thah it's leeting traffic in on the required port, but the PC gives TCP errors when trying to do anything,

How are you connecting them? Cross over or into a hub and firewall? If so disable your firewall and see if it works. Blank out the TCP password on both the Amiga tooltypes and the PC icon.
Also I seem to remember I had to add a Service on port 356 in Genesis.

Dont think this is going to help you, but Im using Amiga Explorer here over Ethernet and packet size / buffer set to 40960 bytes. Im very pleased with it, although it was quite a hassle to set up initially. Its fast enough for simple files. Just gave it a try with a 10MB file and it was transfered in around 20 seconds.
Amiga 1200 (1d4) Kickstart 3.1 (40.68), Elbox Power/Winner tower (450w psu), BlizzardPPC 603e+ @240mhz & 060 @50mhz, 256MB, Bvision, IDE-fix Express, IndivisionAGA, 120GB IDE, cd, dvd, Cocolino, Micronik Keycase, PCMCIA Ethernet, Ratte monitor switcher, Prelude1200, triple boot WB3.1 / OS3.9 / OS4.1, Win95 / MacOS8.1

Both hard wired into my router.  Thr AmiTCP log pops up saying it accepted the connection on 356 but then on the PC side I get the error.  I'll try clearing the passwords.

Next step is upgrading the stack that came with EasyNet.  I have OS3.9, just have not installed it yet.  I can get Miami also of course.

Ok, I got MiamiDx installed and am having slightly better results... AE no longer acts like it obtains then immediately drops the connection however when trying to copy one of the partitions over to the PC, I receive a timeout on the "retrieving folder information" popup.

I left the settings in AE to utilize bdsocket.library but perhaps there is a different library I should be using that is miami based?  I have packet size at 32768 right now and my retries are at 1000.

I definately need to sit down and refresh my memory by groing through guides and such.
