250gb hd
« on: May 31, 2011, 07:50:10 PM »
Hi all using Amiga 1200 with OS3.9 BB1,BB2, 4way IDE`97 board.
Right now my setup is like this Primary Master 13GB, Slave nothing
Secondary Master DVD burner, Slave 100mb ZIP drive.

I have got a spare 3.5" 256GB IDE HD will my setup see this drive?
If so will give me any problems for me to use it?

Or is it simply that 256GB is to much?

The reason I am asking instead of finding it out myself is simple its still inside my PC doing nothing and I don't fancy taking the Power Tower case of all for nothing.

TIA.

Mike.

On my main A1200 with OS3.5 I use 2 500GB HD's on the primary Master & Slave ports & 2 DVD/CD Burners on the Secondary Master & Slave ports using the FastATA MKIII board... :)

Not sure which type of interface your using but if it's the FastATA board then you can easily add a 250GB HD without any problems. I use these with a combination of partitions using FastFileSystem & SmartFileSystem and they work fine without any problems (even used a 1TB HD at 1 point with SFS)... :)
