Whyzzat 3.0 is online
« on: May 28, 2011, 03:36:27 PM »
I know this is off-topic, but being the Coffee House forums, I hope you'll all grant me a little leeway for announcing that Whyzzat.com 3.0 is now online at http://www.whyzzat.com.

For those of you who aren't already members (the base members all came from the Coffee House long ago), Whyzzat.com is (and always was) intended as a place where more grown-up conversations can happen, outside of the Coffee House.

Having just celebrated our 6th anniversary (albeit quietly -- as in we all forgot), I took the step to bypass vBulletin and move from PHPBB (which fails at spam control) straight to Xenforo, which seems to be a step and above better than vBulletin, even in it's first release.

If you're bored one day, and want a place to talk away from the few troublemakers, feel free to stop by.

I think it's interesting to note that you implicitly admitted that the reason you're here is to be a troublemaker.  Good job I must say.  However, unlike Amiga.org, Whyzzat will be at least lightly moderated to keep the moobunny ratio to a minimum.

Troublemakers need not apply.

I knew you'd come back with that reply (hence the reason why I chose that sentence and highlighted that word)... :)

If that's what you call "admitting" to something then I'd hate to see you try and defend yourself in a court case...

No need to worry about me joining your site, had a quick look and apart from nothing of interest on it for me, I would soon get bored debating the topics over there and constantly proving yourself wrong... (as it's very easy to do) :)

PS: If "Troublemakers need not apply." then you can't be talking about me then... sorry... ;)

I'm truly not interested in your silly bullshit and taunting pedantics.  I can only present you with a fact.

As a member of the staff here (lowly consultant though I may be), I -- along with the moderators -- get about a dozen reported posts per day.  Since you got here, a great majority proportion of said reported posts are either about you, or about responses in retort to your trolling.

You and you alone seem to be the one central user causing almost every single problem with this site (according to random users) on a daily basis.

.. and yet you rushed right over and registered on whyzzat.com.  Whyzzat indeed?

Frankly stated, you and I don't know one another.  You -- technically speaking -- could be the owner of this site having fun, or literally my best friend IRL.  I only know of you by your reputation, which seems to be securely set on causing trouble and trolling.

Conversely, I may have a reputation in whatever manner that takes, but let it be said that you do not know me either.  My "tell" however is that I'm just old enough not to have any interest in putting up with trolls and anonymous smegheads on the Internet.

You're welcome to continue your registration at Whyzzat.  Unlike baseball however, you only get one strike on my site, having proven yourself a wild swinger (aka troll) over here.

Only silly bullshit around here when you post stuff like you just have done... :)

Wow only a dozen a day, I must be slipping...

Trolling... once again that silly wee made up word used by those with not enough brain cells to answer back properly... :)

Rushed over... nope actually I took my time and just wanted to verify where you stand... :)

You've got one thing right I know nothing about you and you know nothing about me (although there is only about 31 days to go before all that becomes clear) but to say you've got me all wrong with thinking I'm "causing trouble and trolling" would be an understatement to say the least... :)

I think if I actually did join your site you'd find a very different approach from me from what you read posted by me elsewhere, provided of course your other members like Red and Koft don't resort to their same pathetic style of posting that they do on MooBunny... :)

With that being said I seriously doubt that I would care to join your site as your posts in this thread have just proven to me that you can't grasp the concept of what is real and what is nothing more than banter... :)

So I'll leave you in peace on your site with the others to live in your strange fantasy world where you can gibber keech to each other in your so called grown up conversations without the fear of having some big nasty "troll" come along and spoil your wee tea party... ;)

DISCLAIMER: I speak for myself and I'm not just sayin, I'm telling... ;)

You're right in one manner.  I am, in fact, jumping to conclusions based on nothing but my pre-formed opinion.

You could be the greatest human being to ever walk the planet, or the resurrection of the big JC himself for all that matters.  However, in an anonymous environment such as the Internet, perception is all we have, and all I have to go by is the dozens upon dozens of reports in my inbox caused either by you directly, or in response to your taunting.

Whatever you want to make of that, and however you want to respond, that's fine.

For the record however, when I opened the thread talking about troublemakers, I honestly hadn't even thought of you.  I was more focused on those who pretty much destroyed Moobunny and those who whine and cry over the long-list "Amiga".

You simply couldn't help but presume that I was talking about you, trying to draw me out into a debate because you -- for whatever reason -- get a kick out of being an asshat.  Bravo, kudos, mission successful.

Go ahead and respond with more incessant drivel and "31 day" ultimatums.  You just help prove that while there are still some phenomenal people left in the Amiga community, they're all being drowned out by trolls to the point that it's all pointless.

I posted here to reach the few friends left on this site from way back.  By the fact that you've completely hijacked the thread to make it about you, I'm guessing that my trying to reach the good people here is getting hard to do because of your high signal-to-noise ratio.

That being said, while I would probably never do it, I'm sorely tempted to just delete you from Amiga.org myself.  One last, selfless act for the Amiga community before I find myself banned.  It'd be worth it though.

To the few remaining friends here that have been here a long time, miss you guys.  Hope to see you on Whyzzat soon.  To the likes of trolls like Franko, not so much.

Wow... and here was me still with a faint hope that you weren't quite the "asshat" as you come across as here... :)

If you had read my first post with the humour that it was intended in, then there would have been no need for me to respond to anything else you posted here. Your pathetic claim of "hijacking" is really sad, as you can't quite grasp the simple FACT that I am just replying in kind to the posts you have made addressed to me, or do you really expect that to make posts addressed to me and not have me respond to them because you consider yourself to be something special... :)

No "ultimatum" was issued, cant you read properly (obviously not) try reading it again or get a grown up to read it for you... :)

I know you're too dim to understand but your "hijacking" nonsense is quite simple for even you to understand as I have already stated but I'll state it again just to try and make it clear to you... (read this slowly and loudly if it helps)... :)

Your thread has not been "hijacked" I'm simply replying in kind to all the subsequent posts you have made addressed to me... c a n___y o u___u n d e r s t a n d___t h a t, it's quite simple to understand really....

WOW... delete me from Amiga.org... such grown up behaviour from the man who claims to have seen it all and done it all and lived through the much fabled wars of Amiga.org...

Guess your just showing yourself up for the type of person you really are and I won't even bother to type what that is here, as I'm pretty sure you can guess what my opinion is of you now... :)

So to "trolls" and greetin faced big weans like Wayne... nuff said... ;)

What do you mean by "adult conversations?" :)
Earth has a lot of things other folks might want... like the whole planet. And maybe these folks would like a few changes made, like more carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and room for their way of life. - William S. Burroughs

Grown up?  Non-adolescent?  Conversation that makes you think?  Conversation which doesn't involve MTV, the Amiga, or red/blue camps? Non-Moobunny-esque?  :)
