Okay, I've got this A2000 that is just sitting on the shelf collecting dust and I've pretty well convinced myself to go ahead and find it a new home.
However, I've got it pretty well rigged up and am trying to decide whether to sell it as a unit or part it out.
Here's the configuration.
Amiga side of the world.
stock cpu
RAM: 8Mb, but configured to 6 Mb due to a bridgeboard.
IDE controller: Buddha Flash Phoenix going to a dual TrueIDE CF Flash adapter
WB 2.1 and Work disk are both IBM microdrives 512M each.
A2320 Amber board in the video slot so it's got VGA output.
A kickstart switcher board is installed with 1.3 and 2.1 ROM's.
Motherboard shows to be a REV. 6, but I seem to remember it having a paper sticker claiming to be a 6.2. Looking at the BBOAH, it looks the same as a 6.2
Battery has been replaced by someone before me! Coin battery is installed.
I soldered the 16-bit extensions on the PC side of the world, giving full AT class support for all 4 PC slots.
PC side of the house.
Bridgeboard: CBM 2386 (80386SX with math co-pro and full compliment of ZIP RAM.
8-bit Silicon Valley IDE controller going to a CF adapter and a 340Mb IBM CF microdrive. DOS 5 is loaded on it.
Parallel card for the DOS side of the house.
Each side of the machine has a dedicated 3.5" floppy drive.
Case is clean with no dents or marks. Front panel has the 5.25" cover removed so the CF adapters can be seen. I will include the blank. All screws are present.
I have added an extra LED for the PC hard drive located to the right of the word "Hard Drive" on the LED panel.
And before some wog chimes in and says it's not worth anything and I should just send it to them, I say:
Yes, you are a wonderful wit and your sense of humor is astounding! Now run along and play in the traffic while the adults talk.
So, sell it whole or part it out? Also, any suggestions as to approximate value? I know it's worth only what 2 people will agree on, but ball park estimates are appreciated.
I will give first consideration to the forum if anyone wants to make a reasonable offer otherwise, you'll see it on ebay.
BTW, I'm located in Amarillo, TX 79109 if you want to guestimate shipping costs. Shipping weight will be on the order of 30 pounds +/-.
Pictures available upon request.
