Best of luck to the young couple, I suspect they'll "save" us (Australia) from becoming a republic....

A toast to you!

Well, basically the Oz Republican movement is counting on Charlie to become Queen so that a referendum on becoming a republic has a decent chance of passage.  William & Catherine are popular figures.  People like them, the chances for a republic dim on their becoming King & Queen....

Carrickfergus... what a fucking shithole.  Hope they never have to visit it.  I'd be embarrased to be associated with that dump.  The locals will probably be out sacrificing their first borns tonight.

Urgh.  Worse than Newtownards, and that's saying something!

@ Persia.

Right. I dont think Australia can handle becoming a Republic. As much as i love Australia, Australia lacks independence and is always looking for someone else to make the big decisions (USA). Australians are followers not leaders so I choose a Monachy over a Republic anyday. I'd rather see the Queen on the back of a(n Australian) coin than Barrack Obama

P.S. i even like Prince Charles   :)

Nevermind about Franko, he's just resentful the Scottish were defeated by a superior enemy. It's nothing to be ashamed of...

@Franko. You think i know nothing of history? OK then, I think it's time to bring Edward Longshanks Trebuchet of out storage and then we can find out who defeated who...  ;)

Here's a simple link that's easy to read for numpties who can't get their history correct... :)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Bannockburn

Even you can't change history, Longshanks was a LOSER, we gubbed him good and proper then years later the so called Scottish Nobility sold us down the river and we became the United Kingdom... :(

BUT... that doesn't mean I or others like me have to accept that (and never will) it's one of the reasons why I can't leave this country and travel the world as I refuse to have a passport the says Great Britain or the United Kingdom on it... ;)

I'll never class myself as British or being part of the UK, I'm Scottish & damn proud of it no matter what some poxy document signed hundreds of years ago by shitebags & traitors says... ;)

So you can stuff the English royal family where the sun don't shine and ship em all off to OZ with all the other outcasts... :)

End Of Rant... :D

Neh, kids stuff :mickeymouse:

There is a documentary called The History Of Scotland with some geezer i can't remember the name of. It's really good (except for the Scottish). This documentary showed me the best thing the Scots are good at is fighting each other instead of their enemies.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Towton

This is my favourite battle ever! As you can see what the Scots can do best we can do even bigger and better!  :p

The English are superior to Scots! Even when we fight each other we're superior to our enemies! :swords:

That's my rant. Your turn...

@ Kesa

It's generally quite pointless arguing with someone who doesn't know the history of which they speak, it's even more pointless arguing with someone who claims to be English but doesn't even the courage to live in the country that they claim to be a native of and instead has chosen to bail out and infest some other poor sods country... ;)

So with that being said I'll just sit here smug & cosy in the knowledge that being Scottish is the best thing in the world and leave arguments of this kind to to have with real Englishmen who still live in their own homeland and whom I at least respect in that sense for having the courage of their convictions in staying and not bailing out for an easy life in sun cos they couldn't handle the hardships of living here... ;)

Until you move back to England and stay there then I refuse to argue with you about such trivial (but important) matters and so you'll just have to come up with a subject that you're at least qualified to argue on... :p

PS:How did the exams go, do you think you passed... :)

I'm taking your lack of an answer as you agreeing i am right. Thanks Franko! :)

Although i don't really understand you retort of not being really English. Stop changing the subject!

So i will sit here in the warmth knowing i am right and you are wrong :)

P.S. of my 2 exams the first went well but on my way to my second i twisted my ankle so i didn't have to do it. Extra time to study!
