If I had the space I would definitely have my A2000 set up next to my WinUAE machine (and also set up my A500, VIC-20, C64, Atari, Intellivision, Colecovision, PONG, Vectrex, etc...oh and eventually a Natami). :-)
Music I've made using Amigas and other retro-instruments: http://theovoids.bandcamp.com

I usually just tinker - it's very interesting to run apps like PPaint and Photogenics at lightning speeds.

I also play the odd game - F/A-18 Interceptor and Birds of Prey run very well!

The last time I had a WinUAE system configured, I set it up with uaegfx p96 drivers and ran Quake at 1024x768 and got an average of like 45fps! :D (I had "fastest possible" checked for CPU speed emulation :) )

Can't vote.  I don't have a Windows box any more.  I just use E-UAE on my Mac.

If the question covered MAcs and EUAE I would say I use E-UAE pretty much as I would a non-virtual Amiga.  It's neater, faster and doesn't require special monitors or other equipment.  I find for every time I fire up a non-virtual Amiga I fire up a virtual one twice or thrice.

Hi Smerf... :)

Hmmm... odd that your saving your Amiga Hardware... for what... ???

Is it to hand down to your grandchildren when you finally snuff it and go to meet the great guru meditation in the sky... !!!

Seems a waste of perfectly good miggie hardware to me, send it over here and I'll put it to good use instead of gathering dust never to be used again... :)

Point is... how can you claim to be an "Amiga user" when you don't use Amigas... :(

Perhaps "Amiga collector" or "Amiga Storage man" or "Amiga emulator user" might be a more apt way to describe yourself... ;)

Cheers

Franko

PS:An Amiga's just like a pet, it needs love and attention, not left in some dark cupboard pining away at the neglect of it's owner, get your miggies out or I'm calling the protection agencies... ;)

"Amiga Storage man"

When I had to use WinUAE for a while as my stuff was in transit between continents it was pretty much games and demos only.

There are fantastic MOD players on PC that even improve the sample quality and add a nice spatial stereo to the channel 1,3 and 2,4 hard split so it's actually nice listening to them on my PC anyway.

I mostly use WinUAE to check new AGA-demos after a party is held, occasionally playing some games. As for why I use WinUAE instead of a real Amiga.. well simply put, WinUAE is better in every imaginable aspect than the real deal.

Strange... I would have never have thought that the amount of time it takes for a PC to boot up then run the emulator could ever be described as being "better" than the ultra quick in comparison time of booting up a real Amiga... very strange claim indeed...

800% floppy read speed setting comes in handy mind, some of the multidisk games are almost as playable as their Sega/Nintendo cousins if the game supports 2 or more drives though :roflmao:

Graphic Design, I make my gif animations under WinUAE, drawing the frames with Personal Paint, also I make the PNG icons, but the best is to make the gif animations.

I currently don't have WinUAE installed. Used for a while when my A1200 mobo was broken, but after getting another one, I don't have much use for it anymore. Because I have an A1200 setup (14+ years now), I see no reason to use WinUAE. If something is slow (Adpro), I'll just wait a while, or do it on my peecee.

Hey all you eUAE guys - don't be shy!  Just mentally substitute your favorite prefix in front of UAE and vote away!
