I've read that Poseideon registration is now back on. Does this mean those old discussions are over?

I got a responce and they told me the new drivers will not work with a E3B product installed. Its stupid, but then again they do some wierd things at times.

What did E3B have to do with anything? I thought the whole ordeal was between Chris Hodges and Elbox. Sounds like "If you don't suck up to us, I'm gonna punch that fellow over there in the nose!" Or more appropriately, "I'm gonna punch that fellow over there and anybody who talks to him in the nose!" :-?

Elbox are certainly one of the weird companies out there, like they are in their own universe....

None of their products have ever really interested me.

@Darth_X

What non even the A1200 version of the mediator?!
It's the only such solution for the A1200 and it's damn good compared to the A4000 ones around.

In their own universe?? more like up their own ar#e.
Like someone else said, why drag E3B into the argument between Chris Hodges and Elbox?
Also, is it legal to stop a competitors product from working like this?
It`s times like this I`m glad to be an "underpriviledged" user without a Mediator.
On schedule, and suing

Elbox claim that everything Chris has done and the whole trojan scandal were all part of the evil E3B's plot to discredit them.

Not as such, but they are bending the rules by stopping their own product from working, not that of their competitors.

Of course, I doubt anyone is fooled.

Elbox are right up there with H&P on my list of companies whose products are to be permanently boycotted.

On my boycott list, Amiga Inc :destroy: is at the top!

When it comes to Elbox, I agree that there are lots of things that can be said about their mysterious ways, but at least they have made some great products that has helped keeping the Amiga platform alive for a long time. To me, that is worth something.
MorphOS is Amiga done right! :)

How do you boycott nothing?

Elbox do have worthwhile products (in my case the Spider II would be of some use), which is why boycotting their goods actually means something.

this is so funny, you want to use it but when you dont then you boykott it....

sorry but that is really no excuse...

just because someone didnt step out and made an OFFICAL "I AM SO SORRY ABOUT THE MALICIOUS CODE IN THE SPIDER.DEVICE" means you will boykott them forever after, even though They removed this code less than 30 mins after the whole sharade started.

oh and most of all i have never EVER had any problems with it destroying my rdb and i am pretty sure you wont find an better example as me when it comes to "THINGS THAT GOES WRONG WITH MY A1200" ..

sorry but i think this boykotting discussion wont solve anything at all and most of all elbox havent cleard up if they will make the mediator unuseable with an E3b product or not, atleast not to me.

it was said before poseidon registration was opened again, yes it did but since that is changed now i am pretty sure elbox will budge this as they know it will only make problems for them self + their users in the long run.
