"Time for Barry to wake up and drop the "Amiga" name from products that are not "Amiga" then."

The same could be for Hyperion, as they had nothing to do with the ariginal Amiga team lead by Jay Miner.
What are you trying to demonstrate. Hyperion got a license as well as cusa to use the name.
Or are you telling me that the renamed terons were really amigas because the AmigaOne sticker on them?.

At least (and I don't even like them) the Hyperion stuff had a wee bit (just a wee bit) more in common with real Amiga stuff that the overpriced tat CUSA is trying to sell and tell folks to like it or lump it cos "they are Commodore" now... :(

Or don't you understand when your being led up the garden path... ;)

Personally I cant see the problem. the stuff I dont want to read, I dont read. Every time I need help, people are friendly and doin their best. Its the same on every forum really. Or, life in general. Its impossible to get along with just everybody. Quite a shame people are leaving because of that.
Amiga 1200 (1d4) Kickstart 3.1 (40.68), Elbox Power/Winner tower (450w psu), BlizzardPPC 603e+ @240mhz & 060 @50mhz, 256MB, Bvision, IDE-fix Express, IndivisionAGA, 120GB IDE, cd, dvd, Cocolino, Micronik Keycase, PCMCIA Ethernet, Ratte monitor switcher, Prelude1200, triple boot WB3.1 / OS3.9 / OS4.1, Win95 / MacOS8.1

Original A1000/OCS chipset designers had bugger all useful input into....

500,600,1200,1500,2000,3000,4000,CDTV,CD32

but they all run Amiga game disks.

OS4/MOS/AROS natively run Amiga applications same as real Amigas with 24bit video cards.

I agree with you but with one exception. Hyperion does not have a license for "Amiga", only "AmigaOne" and "AmigaOS".
Someone has to state the obvious and that someone is me!

Hyperion is not selling "Amiga's".  I bought OS 4.1 off them, mobo from ACube. I see no mention on Hyperion's site of them claiming otherwise, or am I missing something?

The X1000 is considered to be an AmigaOne. Acube's deal predates the Ainc/Hyperion settlement (although I imagine they could get the right to use that name from Hyperion as well).

What's up with all this drama lately? It's almost like when BB was an active poster. : popcorn:

Yeah, the few post of Barry here with the 'we are the saviour of the world' tone reminded me of BBRV.

greets,
Staf.

Killfile Franko, ignore CUSA threads.  The site is then back to whatever you want it to be.
Back away from the EU-SSR!

Such a shame what's happened here lately.  Old skool trolling and heavy handed moderation put me off posting a while back.

As it looks like its about to get worse, I think i'll bail out at this point before I get moderated out of existence.

So long, and thanks for all the pancakes!

Almost all the Amiga forums are dumps in the last months. Including Amiga.org. There is only one forum where still the old Amiga spirit is present and it is called EAB. Of course it will get worse here. All the so called Amigans here are now Windows, MacOS, iPhone, Android, you name it fans, but not Amiga enthusiasts. At least one can hope they will not ruin the English Amiga Board.

:griping:

Hey, I resent that. My main A1200 is used almost every evening, particularly at present. Even the A1. Just because I happen to have an android phone and a Linux based PC doesn't preclude me from being an Amiga enthusiast. And the same is doubtless true of most people here.

I agree... I have been using Amigas since 1989, just because some of us use Linux or whatever too does not mean we are not Amiga fans just as much as the next person here.

I haven't used an Amiga in several years, and still consider myself a fan.

As I said for Amiga fans Amiga.org is not the best forum on the Internet. Sad but true. Especially when I read the forums of ex administrator who claims to had cured his Peter Pan syndrome and similar garbage.
