Amiga [A1000] was the last revolutionary computer I ever bought, and therefore the best Now in the time of lethargic evolution my PCs are just tools, I love them no more than my chopsticks.....only the food is important ;)

I think this is a good point for why we are all here.

I like my linux box, but its ultimately just a tool to do stuff.

Which is why reasonable people should cut C=USA a break and wait to hear them out on what their Commodore Amiga series is all about before flaming them.  I know everyone wants to know this very minute what is going on, but from my understanding not all decisions have been made yet so what they want is impossible at this point in time.

I think you'll find the reasonable people have already asked questions, and whether satisfied by the answers or not, left the subject alone at that point. It's only the couple o' crazies that are carrying on this flamewar, and they're not getting as much attention now. Having said that, C-USA people seem to have calmed down a lot recently too, there doesn't seem to be much of the whole "this is the only future of Amiga" nonsense either any more, which is a good thing.

On the other hand, the CUSA stuff is a total disconnect. Other than branding, there's absolutely nothing (at least nothing that has been publicly shown) to connect it to the Amiga or earlier Commodore machines.

How do you figure? The C64x is physically a twin of the earlier C64. The Amiga product has not been released so we really don't know. If the Amiga product has a true emulation layer, it will have the same heritage as AROS, OS4, MorphOS etc.
Someone has to state the obvious and that someone is me!

Harsh, mag. And I've always tried to treat you fairly. But lately all your posts are just filled with negative crap and barbs about other posters.
I actually remember when you had points to make that weren't just focused on other posters.
Hell, I remember when you were a nice guy.

WTF happened?

iggy

Why do you chime in +1 to instigate me? Yeah, i remember when aorg was a legend. But due to the -MODERATED- posting all the time now have really really polluted aorg.

Whats funny is over past months i've been defending aorg to people on aw.net and elswhere and I cannot do so any longer.  If you notice a lot of the serious usa amiga people never come here any more. As well as euro developers and others. Now, just a few lame fanboys who havent bought 1 piece of amiga software or hardware in the past 3 years, or never had or wanted an Amiga NG system. os4 or morphos. They just cling on to their classics and flame blast any other system or idea. Its really pathetic.

For instance the guy you just +1 after (retro) is now my enemy because of one thread where someone was selling an a1260 in the usa and didnt want to ship overseas and I agreed its not a good idea now this moron follows me around talking sh8t. WTF has this person ever done for the amiga community? Except hoard hw and talk crap. (telling me he is going to put me in the hospital)

And you wonder why i'm not a "nice guy" here anymore??

I think you let them get to you, and in that they've won, Mag.
And I wasn't kidding about the posts. You used to have some good input and now you're always mad.
