Cool, I'm working on a drum to disc converstion on my car project. Was working on door panels yesterday. What model are you working on?

Figure the threads shot full of holes already, so might as well go for the automotive category for a minute. ;)

Agree! :) I actually tore down my door panels as well, and rewired all of the speakers with some good speaker wire.  I am kinda a Honda Civic guy. I have a 1999 Honda Civic Hatch.  Not into the ricer looks or anything like that, I just have a hell of a time learning about cars. I have a heart for both muscle and import. ;)

What car you doing the conversion on?

Wayne, please come back and right this sinking ship!

Using the ignore list is the only way I can tolerate this forum site any more, but even that isn't enough to clean up the crap that is going on here lately and I find myself visiting here once every couple of days, instead of 3 to 6 times a day like I used to do.

Sorry to hear that Dave, but you got to admit it not that boring anymore... :D
I do hope you come around more often.

No, I would have to disagree with you and say that it is very boring to see the same crap and fighting going on day after day, with less and less Amiga related topics and people helping people going on.

It has gotten worse than Amigaworld.net here lately, and that is pretty bad.

I guess visiting less Amiga sites will give me more time to do other things each day, so not a complete loss.
How are you helping the Amiga community? :)

I could have sworn you claimed to be Irish in one of your deleted posts recently.

hey, nich, baby, My mother is Belgian and my dad is Italian. This sort of thing is not uncommon in America. That's why it's called a "melting pot" even though that's rather an odd expression because people in America don't really "melt" or lose their heritage. At least not if they were brought up correctly.

Well I'm truely "melted" as I have no idea the accurate list of countries contributing to my DNA. German and Irish are strong contenders but there's also good evidence of Italian and maybe even a bit of Asian in our tree. Seems my forebeares didn't give a hoot about where they came and didn't make knowing or caring a priority. Honesly I've inherited that part too since I don't care to research it. I've got enought work to do figuring out where I'm going without spending too much energy looking back.

Long live the "mutts" :)

To make my situation very clear I am what is known as "First generation" American. As I pointed out My mother was born in another country. English was not my first language. This informed my early experience.

Once a person's family has been in the country for a few generations things change a bit.

the point is, however, is that we are still American.

Please take this for the humor that I see.
You - Franko="he who shall not be named and company"
Franko - C="they who shall not be named"

So...if I ever have to quote you about something HE says about THEM, I'll need to start with:

@he who shall not be named and company in regards to they who shall not be named..

Won't something get lost in this context? heh.

@ Number6

Right so "He who shall not be named" if he (or is that me) say's anything about "They who shall not be named" then he/me would in fact actually be talking about the original "They who shall not be named" and not the new "They who shall not be named" even if "They who shall not be named" are talking about "He who shall not be named"... :)

But what if the new "They who shall not be named" are talking about the original "They who shall not be named" then how can "He who shall not be named" distinguish between the two "They who shall not be named'ed"... :(

Gawd... me brain cell hurts... think I/Me/We/He shall have to go and soak it in a nice cold glass lemon tea.... :)

Trust me. This all gets easier to understand when we finally get to the subject of "that which shall not be discussed"

@he who shall not be named and company in regards to they who shall not be named, regarding that which can not be discussed".

See what I mean?

America is a complicated experiment. Melting pot and fractured at the same time. More recently if feels like the list of people and ideas allowed to be melded is being censored, while still others don't want to meld and fragment themselves. Just isn't going to come to a good end that way.

AMigadave

Yeah, I know man. I actually was away from aorg for a long time as I didnt use classics anymore and went on to Morphos.. however now I'm back into it i WAS enjoying amiga.org. Now i'm considering not coming here anymore as it seems like the only people that really post are posers who use uae, or are weird amiga horders with no life whatsoever.. (umm i know you have an amiga horde but you are a nice guy and actually never say bad things about anyone, and you do much for the community)

But with guys like REtro and Franko (notice all the douchebags who threaten people and make insane or insulting comments put smilies like that make it ok? )

Retro: yeah, you're bored with it because people came out and exposed you for your stupidity. NEVER IN MY LIFE HAVE I SEEN ANY AMIGA PERSON THREATEN ANOTHER ON AMIGA ORG UNTIL NOW.  And i'm sure not going to stand idle when you stupid , fat, no life retards sitting in front of a computer threaten me.

and Australia is the best at what exactly? What is one thing you do for the global community. Give me a break. You exposed your stupidty so do yourself a favour and stick to amiga topics.

After the first 3 original posts in this thread then from the bits n bobs that I can read it would seem that the subject of "that which shall not be discussed" could be anything under the sun...

So the chances of finding out just what "that which shall not be discussed" are about as much as this thread ever making any sense anymore... me thinks... or rather me doesn't methinks anymore, I think !!!

@ALL,

This thread does not deserve to be on an Amiga forum site.  I invite all of you to end this kind of childish crap and return to discussing Amiga related topics.
How are you helping the Amiga community? :)
