Ditto. I don't miss my 040/BPPC at all.

Near as I can tell this is where I write something under the guise of being innocuous, but really its a pot shot at another persons/peoples choice of Amiga based systems. Unfortunately only I cant see how transparent and petty it makes me look.

Yeah, it was getting out of hand.

Name calling is one thing, but when it progresses to offering to pay someone a personal visit then it is starting to get Mafia-like!  Imagine waking up with a red&white severed horse's head on the pillow next to you with a note attached stating "Your Amiga will be next!"

I'm afraid I made my first ever complaint to the powers at be. I've been on here since the 90's, and it's sad that I finally felt it necessary. I only expected a mod to step in and lay down the law, I did not expect the ban hammer.

You were by far not the only one. I woke to half a dozen reported post messages on those three in this topic. After I had dealt with those, I immediately got three more. This was the third topic this weekend with multiple reports on those three. Alot of members were getting pissed off and it wasn't just the fault of just one of the three. So, they are off til 8AM tomorrow.

Dont feel too bad, I know of at least a few others who reported the behavior, myself included. Also dont be surprised if these posts get deleted. Me and Darrin were just discussing the mafia like attitude, red and white horses heads and so on, and those posts seem now to have been removed as well.  :)

Well, then stay on topic.

Rednova just wants help and opinions on expanding and improving his A1200. Not advice on the A4000 or selling and buying one, or emulation, or spats between members that span the forums.

Someone deleted my pooh bear murder pic in the coffee house :(. I don't know why as it was famly oriented.

I'm glad this is temporary because I would hate that these guys not return

Dear friends:

All i wanted was to get advice about expanding my amiga 1200.
I did not intend to start war world III.
I appreciate all sincere feedback.
I decided to quit using my a1200 for 3d work,
I will instead use lightwave 3d on my pc
and the new aladdin pc version when it comes out.
So from now on I will mainly use my amiga 1200 for:
-painting -deluxe paint 4- and -digi paint-
-cartoon animation -moviesetter-
-game programming - amos pro-
As you see I do not require lots of computing power
and I already have a GVP jaws 030/50mhz + 32 mb ram.
I would like a new accelerator but as you see what I have is good enough,
but I would not mind expanding my ram to the max.
I will be completely dedicated to use my amiga for
painting, 2d animation, and game programming.
Thank you for your honest advice.

Hi:

I have very small room in my home, and also a small budget.
Instead of buying a new system (ex a4000)I rather use the money
to expand my amiga 1200.
As i told you, my setup is good enough for my needs, but I would
like to expand just for fun and to get more from my amiga.

My advice is still the same:  get a subway.  Now I have USB on my Amiga, I couldn't live without it.

I would also add an Indivision AGA and more RAM for your 1230 to Darrins recommendation too.

Perhaps a FastATA Mk3 from Elbox but they are a little pricey, although they are very good.
