floppy drive connected ?
« on: December 18, 2003, 03:30:45 PM »
if i can see my floppy drive 0: in the boot menu, does this mean that it's properly connected ? I am using this floppy drive inside the mirage 1200 tower + mediator. It could be that the floppy drive cable is broken as i look at it, but if this was so then it shouldn't show in the boot nenu would it ?

Thanx,,

Nope, DF0: is allways regognized on HW-level, cos the flip-flop for it
is on the mobe
(instead of external ones which have it in their case).

A missing drive should be detected either as bad disk, or a permant
"busy" drive.
1. Make an announcment.
2. Wait a while.
3. Check if it can actually be done.
4. Wait for someone else to do it.
5. Start working on it while giving out hillarious progress-reports.
6. Deny that you have ever announced it
7. Blame someone else
