internet dongle with subway usb

Has anyone managed to get an internet dongle working as a modem via the subway usb port? Ive plugged one in by 3 network and trident reads it but as mass storage. whats the best way to get the net on an amiga these days?

The answer is yes, they do work and doing it (the internet) with USB doodad is a good way to go. Study the stuff Thomas linked you to 1st. There are certain types that are tested and supported, You'll want to hunt one of these down.
