Hello from Huddersfield in the UK! :)
« on: March 03, 2011, 09:13:12 AM »
Hello everyone :)

My names Richard, I've used Amiga's since the  age of 7, first I had an A600 which has lasted until last year.. I use a PC running Gentoo Linux these  days, but I have plans to get a SAM4xx mobo with OS4 someday (When I have enough cash) :)

My last project was an A1200 with a blizzard 030 MkIII @ 40mhz (16mb FRAM) with OS3.5 and WHDLoad, which satisfies my retro gaming and Amiga cravings for now...

This place looks really cool and I will defo be here for a long time :)
A1200, 030 @ 40MHZ, 16MB FRAM, 1GIGCF, OS3.5

Welcome aboard,
Hope you enjoy yourself. Lot's of fun to be had here, but it can also get a bit weird from time to time :) So long as you can overlook people being passionate to the point of being silly sometimes you should enjoy yourself. Doesnt hurt to be slightly oddball either  :)
Near as I can tell this is where I write something under the guise of being innocuous, but really its a pot shot at another persons/peoples choice of Amiga based systems. Unfortunately only I cant see how transparent and petty it makes me look.

Ecky thump and eee bah gum lad... :)

Welcome to the last place on the planet where if you weren't mad before you joined, you soon will be... :D

PS:There's no point in trying to leave here, I tried it once, but after less than two weeks the withdrawal symptoms got the better of me and now I'm a permanent resident here... ;)

You immediately made me think of this song by The Exploited.

Sam4xx makes a nice Amiga upgrade if you use your Amiga for more than just classic games.  I guess you're already aware of the alternatives too.

Your A1200 sounds like the ideal classic gaming system.
