Just rediscovering the Amiga
« on: February 24, 2011, 11:19:43 PM »
Hi there. I recently had the good fortune to rescue my old A1200T from oblivion -it was stored at my parents' home, and they were about to take it to the dump before I intervened. Now it is safe in my own home. So long as I can keep it safe from toddlers and my wife...

Anyway, it's prompted me to get back into the Amiga after a long hiatus, and I'm checking out all the forums and set up my own blog on the subject -http://thecommodoreamiga.com.

This site seems to be one of the biggest Amiga forums around, so I look forward to soaking up the Amiga chat...
Everything was better on the Commodore Amiga...

You might leave the amiga for a while, but the amiga inside you never leaves.

Or something profound like that.

Welcome aboard :)

A rescued Amiga is a friend for life... :)

Welcome to the last refuge for the Amiganly Insane, just remember to always wear flameproof clothing and a tin helmet while posting round here... :)

"Relax," said the Guru, "we are programmed to receive. You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave!"

Thanks! No, the Amiga never does leave you- I've still got a 68040 inside my brain. Although these days I'm probably running more like a 68000...

The Amiga's been in storage for too long- I think the wife and kids should take their turn, get themselves off to an attic somewhere, and let me get on with fiddling about on the A1200T.

Hi,

@blitterobject,

First of all I blitterobject to your avatar's name!!   Just kidding,

Anyhow welcome back to the Amiga and to Amiga.Org.

Here you will find the insanely best Amiga people in the world.

Some of the best are Karlos -- who always ruins your fun.
2nd is Franko -- watch him close and if you need help on anything, this insane Scott is there.

3rd is runequestor -- can't remember what to watch out for on him.  Oh he is sane.

4th is Wayne -- very rarely here but he is sneaky.

then there is amigadave, amiga2600, and the worst person to associate with is voted by all the rest

smerf -- totally insane, a big troll.

enjoy amiga.org and remember on this site take everything with a grain of salt.

smerf
I have no idea what your talking about, so here is a doggy with a small pancake on his head.

MorphOS is a MAC done a little better
