I myself use POW! which is a nice little tool to get rid off popups.

Mozilla Firebird has built-in popup blocking. I've set it as my default browser and now enjoy blissful surfing.

Hmm, amongst my friends, its impossible to find someone who doesn't use IE - amongst Amiga.org users, its impossible to find PC surfers who don't use Firebird....I have tried to convince my friends of Firebird's virtues...hey, you'd think tabbed browsing alone would be a good enough reason to switch!
I like Amigas

Grrrrrr! There are hardly any browsers out there now apart from Aiiiiieeeeeee that still suffer from popups. It makes ME really frustrated watching people suffer the agonising slow reaction of and multi-popup madness of M$'s piss-poor effort. I know people too who are so fscking brainwashed they will STILL use it, swearing and cursing every 30 seconds about something than change to Opera, Mozilla, Netscape ...

unfortunatly, i have to use a "managed" desktop winXP system at workand have to use IE like everyone else. i'm not allowed to hook the gateway into the unix switch as "it maybe a security risk". funny that. don't see may script kiddies writing for solaris. i dunno. i don't pay for this stuff  :-D so let em get on with it  :-)

A500, A600, A1200x3, A2000, A3000, A4000 & a CD32.
and probably just like the rest of you, crates full of related "treasure" for the above XD

I don`t remember having ever a problem with pop-ups on my Amiga browsers, maybe because I (almost) never go to that kind of sites :PP

I once had a problem with Opera on the PC, it opened 4-5 pop-ups and when I was closing one, automatically opened 2 new ones!

I took advantage of turning off javascript in iBrowse but tend to forget to turn it on on some pages with forms.  That's my advantage.   :-)

Just like Cecilia I prefer to let Opera do all the work, surfing and mailing. Outlook Express just sits on my harddrive to fill up space and it hasn't been used once. About IE, I only use it for pages that Opera can not deal with.

Dagon : you have to set 'refuse popups' in the Opera prefs !!!  ;-)

I would use Netscape exclusively (on the PC) if only certain sites worked in it! For example, I use online banking but IE is the only browser that supports the bank's website!  :-x

Then change to a better bank.
You can do online banking and even trading shares with Amiga Browsers!
